Tottenham wants to offload Tanguy Ndombele in this transfer window and the Frenchman also wants out.
However, Daniel Levy could price him out of a move away from the club, according to Football London.
Ndombele hasn’t reached the heights expected of him when he first came to Spurs in 2019.
He has been plagued by inconsistency and has started this campaign as he did the last one.
He was out of the first-team picture under Jose Mourinho, who insisted that he wasn’t doing enough to get near the first team.
He has started this season out of favour with Nuno Espirito Santo and it seems it might take a while before he is part of the senior side again.
Tottenham is open to cashing in on him now, however, after breaking their transfer record to sign him the same Football London reports says Daniel Levy will not allow him to go on a cheap.
The report claims that this could see Ndombele stay because few clubs will splash the cash to sign him right now and there are no proposals as of yet.
He is one player who, alongside the likes of Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko, can leave the club, but it has to be for the right price.

I have to agree with the French link, although we have not signed their best players. They are associated with in-fighting and having a certain degree of arrogance, but there will be good ones out there. It just a matter of picking them up!
You are not alone in wanting a different style of play, but that is dictated by our players, particularly in midfield. Losing and not replacing Dembele and Eriksen has hurt us massively. Ndom, Sissoko and Winks are just not up to it. Hojbjerg is a combative player, not a play maker, so that has not helped to play fluid football. That stated, Hojbjerg has been a positive when compared to recent acquisitions. In Defence we have now lost the best centre half pairing in Jan and Toby since at least the 80s and last season it hurt us not having replaced them with quality. Sanchez should have been moved on a while ago.
I look at the recruitment of Lloris, Walker, Rose, Jan, Toby, Dembele, Eriksen, Carrick, Keane, Berbatov, Modric, Bale and you’d think that isn’t too bad until you start thinking of Gilberto, Bentley, Bent, Soldado, Ndom, N’Jie, N’Koudou, Jannsen. But is that just a case of you win some you lose some?
I believe also that our style right now needs to be adjusted. It is always get the ball to Son or kane. If you look at the year were Dele was putting the goals in for fun,the style was abit different. Now once the ball reaches to Kane or Son its expected of them to finish. Lamela alteast offered the late runs into the box, something that he is still doing at Sevilla now
@cowspurs I agree with you. That is why I dont want any player from france to join spurs. Just look at the French national team and see the shit storm created by the players over the years. I suspect that lloris has great influence in the change room but might also be one of the bad apples. I just cant get my head around it. Something changed in mentality or commitment from the team just before our champions league final run. It could of been the rumours of Poch flirting with united or something else. But I honestly believe some players were were dropping to 1st gear on purpose
@Forza
Quite a few on here questioned Ndom’s attitude by simply reading up on the lad on the internet and he has not proven us wrong. The recruitment of Ndom was atrocious, we overpaid on him on the back of one good season in a league that is hardly the most competitive. I admit he played well v Man City in the Ch Lg, but we paid £60m for a one season wonder, whose stats were not that impressive (goals and assists).
The Ndom transfer was the final nail in Poch’s BBQ as it set us back when we needed to kick on after the Ch Lg malaise and years of ignorance in the transfer market. Unbelievably, there are still fans out there still willing to give Ndom another chance because he played well v Sheff Utd. At approximately £200k a week Ndom is going nowhere on a permanent transfer but Paratici has to get him loaned out. If our DoF cannot do this I cannot see the point in him.
I you are duped into paying 5 grand for a fake Rolex, you are very unlikely to be able sell it on for a similar price. Yet, that is exactly what Levy is doing here.
He was signed off the back of one good season. He’s lazy and has an attitude problem. Cut the losses and get rid.
Let’s be fair about Ndom, everyone was excited including myself when we signed him. He was superb in the champions league and in France. It wasnt such a big gamble. The issue is with his attitude. I believe there is a bunch of rotten apples in the squad that decide when to turn up. He is 1 of them, need to get rid asap.
Can’t be trusted in big games – often has little intensity in his play when the chips are down.
what a record signing…
Last minute loan just to get some of his wages off the books. Got to happen.
Not sure it is his fee which is the problem, more him being a wage thief and no-one will pay anywhere near what he gets now.
You have to question those responsible for the scouting of players with such poor attitudes and character as Ndombele, it’s just sheer incompetence on the clubs behalf.
Without funds from selling Kane we were never going to buy anyone of any note unless we sold some of the dross. I would thought that Paratici would have loaned these characters out, especially as few clubs would waste transfer money on them, but he has been unable to do this. Getting Ndom, Winks, Doherty, Sissoko and Aurier out of our club should have been a priority, even if it meant paying half of their wages. Utd did this with Sanchez and Chelsea did it with Babayoko and Zappacosta to name but a few. Having players who take liberties in and around the club serves no positive.
Levy and his penny pinching ways has bought lots of players well below standard, but Ndom has to be our worst ever signing when wages and transfer fee are taken into account. Even worse than Adebayor. Pepe down at Arsenal is an awful signing, but he has offered far more for them than the charlatan Ndom. The day Ndom leaves the club will be a celebration for me. To have him and the others who contributed very little last season as we head in to another is disheartening. I like NES but he cannot work miracles with this same bunch that Poch and Mourinho faltered with.
It’s going to be a long, long season of ‘meh’. Bring it on!
I would replace that title with: ‘Spurs could be stuck with unwanted player because of poor scouting’.
We are approaching the end of the transfer window and have we really improved the squad at the moment. Toby has left and we have brought in Romero on a loan to buy deal, We have purchased Gil a 20-year-old youth punt yet again by Levy that looks like he will make little difference this season, Likewise, Papa Sarre an 18-year-old youth punt who again makes no difference to our first team performance. We have offloaded Lamela who at least put in some energy in the midfield and we still have Winks, Sissoko, Dier, Sanchez, Sissoko, Aurier, Docherty and a grumpy Frenchman who does not want to be here. I am trying to see what all this chatter is about concerning Paratici and his non-stop beavering away for players. What is it actually delivering in terms of improving the first-team squad? Gil cost us £21.5 million with Lamela going the other way. Toby netted us £4.5 million and Romero is on loan this season. That is a grand total of £17 million invested which is hardly going to change this squad into a CL qualifying side or a side capable of winning any major honours. It stinks of Levy and Enic again hoping that Nuno can work a miracle and get us into the top four. Just what has Paratici brought to the table for all the hype? I guess it’s the same old Levy control mechanism stifling any real ambition yet again.
Most talented player at the club with absolutely no desire to be there, totally characterless waste of space
Levy should accept he made a huge balls-up on this lazy snowflake and move him on.
