Report – Tottenham target double striker swoop

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham is eyeing a swoop for Bournemouth’s Joshua King and Benfica’s Haris Seferovic, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho wants a striker before this transfer window closes and Spurs have been linked with moves for a number of attackers.

As the window’s closing draws nearer, several players have been linked with a move to the Tottenham Stadium.

King was relegated with the Cherries last season, but with a year left on his current deal, Eddie Howe’s former team are prepared to cash in on him.

King is currently nursing an injury that he picked up on international duty the last time out and The Telegraph reckons that Spurs and mulling over making a move for him.

Football Insider also reports that Spurs are looking to complete a move for Seferovic.

The Switzerland international has been one of the best strikers in the Portuguese top flight, although he suffered a goal drought last season that saw him net just 9 times in 45 matches.

Both of these strikers will act as a capable backup to Harry Kane, but it remains to be seen which of them will eventually be signed.

They have already landed Gareth Bale to help with goals but Mourinho is still keen on landing a new striker.

Its a case of “put your hands up if you want to play up front” for Spurs, last kid to be picked at school, everyone else has gone!

If we go for a double striker partnership, I reckon that might be to soften the blow of us not getting Skriniar.

Josh king is underrated. Can 100% do the job. I reckon he’d flourish at Tottenham

King is not exactly prolific unlike Danny Ings who looks as if he wont be moving sadly, a more natural goalscorer would be hard to find, but from those mentioned then the boy Brewster could be worth a go.
