Report: Tottenham ready to offer a four-year deal for Inter Milan’s Stefan de Vrij

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to resume revamping its backline when the transfer window opens up in June. Last summer, the north London club added Cristian Romero, but they want to continue the central defender role.

According to Milanese publication InterLive, Stefan de Vrij could be on his way out of the Serie A club with only one year left on his contract past this season. The Italian media outlet adds that Tottenham could reunite the 30-year-old with his former manager Antonio Conte.

When it comes to the asking price, Inter Milan reportedly wants between €25-million and €30 million, so they could therefore close the deal, then invest the sum collected for Gleison Bremer.

Furthermore, Tottenham wants to put forth a four-year contract with a salary of €6.5 million net. The possible addition of de Vrij would bring a veteran presence to the Spurs defense.

They’ll also get a player who has played for Conte, knows what the Italian tactician wants from his center-backs, and takes some of the responsibility off Romero’s shoulders.

Sadly, Easty, I think he will price us out of any chance to get a new owner. Levy is a complete caaaaant who is fleecing the idiots still believing the big club narrative. Of which there seem to be still many.

He’s 30 and apparently being offered a huge contract, and Conte his boss, maybe that’s enough.

Does he want to play for a club synonymous with failure? I doubt it…

Yep, we are a dysfunctional mess, just a rudderless ship run by asset grabbers. A total embarrassment, yet a club overseen by an accountant in a bad suit who thinks it’s of the kind calibre to be included into a ‘super league’. Just because he borrowed close to 1bn to build a multi sports arena.

I honestly see nothing of the old club there now, no identity whatsoever and to
make it worse, none of any of these sacrifices look like they are going to bring any kind of success, ever.

Dead club.

The only way it comes back to life is with decent owners buying these crooks out…

Pipe dreams. What player of any calibre is coming to play with this sh1t show?
I’m not even bothered to look at transfer ‘news’ articles related to Spurs anymore.
The media can spout their Conte this, Conte that nonsence all they want, but the reality is, a manager’s credentials mean diddly squat when the team he’s managing are serial losers – and the fans are serial dreamers.
