One position that Spurs will need to strengthen this summer is their full-back position as they get set to lose Serge Aurier.
The Lilywhites will have a busy summer as this is Jose Mourinho’s first summer transfer window as their manager.
The special one is expected to bring trophies to Spurs and he will want the club to back him in the transfer market.
Serge Aurier is interesting a few European sides (The Sun) and Spurs will sell if the any of them can meet their asking price.
If he departs, he will leave a major vacuum behind at the club as they have already sold Kyle Walker-Peters to Southampton.
A new report in the print edition of The Sunday People via Football London is reporting that Spurs have identified a new full-back who could come and slot in at the club.
The reports claim that Spurs is interested in signing Benfica’s Tomas Tavares.
The 19-year-old played just 12 league games for the Portuguese side last season, but he is highly regarded and is being backed to go on and have a great career in the game.
He isn’t the only Benfica player that has been linked with a move to Spurs recently as they have also been linked with a move for Pizzi (TalkSport).
However, Tavares transfer might happen faster because his position is of importance to Spurs especially if they eventually sell Aurier.

19 year old RB will not be on the list, we have Tanganga for the back up position.
Inexperienced, not what Mourinho will want. Look at Hojbjerg and Hart, experienced battle hardened players with loads of Premier League time served. That’s the type of right back that will be signed.
