Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a bid for Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen after convincing Jose Mourinho of his potential, reports The Northern Echo.
Bowen had been scouted by Spurs under the tenure of Mauricio Pochettino, who had a track record for signing English youngsters, most successfully Dele Alli and Eric Dier, and most recently, Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke.
That has not traditionally been the Jose Mourinho way, the Portuguese will be working under different parameters under Daniel Levy than he has at previous clubs and may have to open his horizons in the transfer market.

This new approach could start with Bowen. The Northern Echo understands that Spurs talent spotters have continued to monitor Bowen and have persuaded Mourinho to gamble on the Championship star, who has scored 17 goals in 23 appearances for Hull this season – and 22 in 46 during the last campaign.
The Northern Echo takes an interest in Bowen as Newcastle United were looking at the prolific forward for January, but are apparently ready to admit defeat because of the strength of Tottenham’s interest in the player.
Bowen has operated as a second striker for Hull but primarily plays on the right wing which makes his goalscoring record even more impressive.
If there is one area of the front four that we could improve with a new signing it is arguably the right flank, despite Lucas Moura’s decent form.
Gareth Bale he is not, but remember which league we signed him from?

Ever been to an auction?
Do we know how much they are asking for him?Could be Levy lowball time.
