Report – Tottenham are genuine contenders for Serie A ace that will cost a fortune

Tottenham is competing with Manchester United for the signature of Paolo Dybala despite his high valuation.

The Argentinean is one of the most talented players in the world and he has continued to prove valuable to Juventus.

He was, however, part of the disappointing Juventus team that was eliminated from the Champions League by Lyon in the round of 16.

That loss cost Maurizio Sarri his job as the Old Ladies’ manager and they have named Andrea Pirlo as their new boss.

The former midfielder has been told that he will have to sell some of his players before he can buy new ones and he is looking to offload Dybala.

Manchester United are very interested in the attacker as they consider him to be a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, according to Gazzetta.

The report also claims that the Red Devils are not alone in his chase because Jose Mourinho also wants the Argentinean.

Spurs are named as genuine contenders for his signature as Mourinho looks to bolster his team ahead of next season.

The Portuguese manager will be hoping to lead Spurs to win a trophy when the new campaign comes around and he knows that he will need as many talented players as he can get to achieve that.

Dybala has a valuation on TransferMarkt of €72.00m, whether Juventus would accept a bid in that region is open to question, like every other club they will want get as much as they can and may well pice the 26-year-old higher.

One thing is for certain and that is if Tottenham is to sign Dybala it will be on terms, there is no way they can afford him outright.

You mean that like that “special relationship” that exists between the UK and the US, or as its more commonly known, the “diplomat’s wife can kill anyone on the road without answering for it” treaty.

Bale would take us up a gear he’s still quality man… When the likes of Winks and Davies are first choice, you know Bale would walk into our firsts. Most teams in the world he goes straight into their firsts. Overpriced and overpaid agreed, like most footballers. But that poor media golf joke bandwagon isn’t funny anymore… Bale is world class, a beast, a match winner. Of course we won’t sign him, but look at his resume now, to suggest he would have no presence is ludicrous.. His trophy cabinet at home is far more impressive than the one at N17.. And Crouch is retired brother!

If it’s not a swap for Ndombele this is going nowhere. Alas. Would be an excellent signing, but not if Wilson is being touted as well. The budget simply won’t stretch

As none of the Galacticos will be joining exposes the mythical “special alliance”
we supposedly had with RM! Yes these are the kind of quality players capable of taking us to the next level but alas they are purely the stuff of dreams!!

Jay Gee, we actually had a fee of around €70M accepted last year and the deal only fell apart at the 11th hour because it transpired his imaging rights are owned by his former agent’s company, and would potentially cost another 30 million to buy out.

That said, the financial landscape has changed, Juve are by all accounts looking for a fee close to last year’s valuation, and we’re simply not going to pay anywhere near that this time round.
This is a rumour to forget about.

Those who can do – Those who can’t Pundit. thank goodness that Mickey Hazard – fits the latter group. Bale would not be a good acquisition as a “Free” with his wages paid. He will sit out his contract and retire to golf. Over-priced, overpaid and over the hill. We should be pursuing Diaz from RM – not Bale. Bale has nothing left to contribute and his presence would drag us down. If we really want a geriatric goal-scorer (which we don’t need) we’d be ahead with Llorente, Defoe or even Crouch .

Almost every big transfer is done with staged payments these days. It’s nothing new – the biggest club have been doing it for donkeys years.

I can’t believe we’re back in for Dybala. Smacks of click bait.

He’ll have his pick and I doubt we’re very high up his list. If Juventus need money now then I doubt they’ll accept a deferred payment scheme.

We wouldn’t fork out £65 Million for him last year after getting to the Champion’s League Final, so why do people think we’re going to pay £90 Million for him now when we only just managed to get to the quali stages of the Mickey Mouse Cup
