Former Tottenham star, Micky Hazard has admitted that he would love to see Gareth Bale return to Tottenham.
Bale has never been liked by Real Madrid’s manager, Zinedine Zidane and the Frenchman’s second spell in charge of the Spanish champions has seen Bale return to spending more time on the bench.
He recently asked not to be named in their travelling party to play Manchester City at the Etihad in the Champions League.
His career has stalled at the Bernabeu and Zidane has made it clear to him that he is surplus to requirements.
The Welshman has been tipped to make a return to Spurs, but some have questioned if he will be able to make any sort of impact at the club that he left in 2013.
Hazard, however, doesn’t think that there is a question of what he can do for the north London side, because he is a special talent.
“Would I want to see him back in a Tottenham shirt? 100 per cent, without a shadow of a doubt,” he told the Star. “Anyone who says Bale wouldn’t offer Tottenham anything is lying.
“I sincerely hope he gets his career back on track because he’s such a special talent.
“I have no doubt he still loves the game, but unfortunately his usefulness to Wales is now also impacted by the fact he isn’t playing.
“Usually I’m a great believer in top players not coming back. But in Bale’s case, I’m not necessarily against it.
“I just think sometimes it’s hard to achieve the same levels of performance. You don’t want that legacy to be undermined.
“But whether he comes back or not, I want this resolved. The stalemate at Real is a tragedy.”
The only way Bale would return to Tottenham is if Real Madrid pays off his huge contract in full, he signs for free and takes a wage similar to that of Harry Kane. Do any of us see that scenario panning out?
Them as can DO. Them as can’t -pundit. Good thing Hazard fits in the latter category. Bale ‘s return to Tottenham would be a disaster. He is over-priced, overpaid and over the hill. He will sit out his contract at RM and retire to golf. We should be trying to get Diaz from RM – not Bale. Bale would be a bad move if he came as a free with his salary paid. We don’t need an aging former goal scorer but if we did; we’d be farther ahead with Llorente, Defoe or even Crouch.
Zidane is a zhit faced zunt.
The zunt spent a summer tapping Bale up, gets the madrid gig and doesn’t like Bale.
Like I said. Zidane’s a zhunt.
Just stop with the Bale rubbish he’s not coming, loves Spain has said it more than once he’s staying for his easy money.
I’m pretty sure Bsle would turn his nose up at a move back to Spurs. He see himself as only befitting of a few biggest teams in the world, like:
Bayern Munich
PSG
Barcelona
Juventus
Manchester Utd
Manchester City
I’d be surprised if his next club was not one of these.
