Jose Mourinho has been in contact with Gareth Bale over an unlikely return to Tottenham Hotspur in January, according to El Desmarque.
The report from Spain understands that Spurs are willing to offer £25.7m plus Christian Eriksen to bring the winger back from Real Madrid.

Bale has helped Real to win four Champions League trophies and one La Liga title in six years at the Bernabeu, and yet is villified by his own fans.
The Welshman almost left for China last summer but that option no longer appears to be on the table due to the league’s new salary restrictions.
Bale’s wages may well be an obstacle for Spurs too, unless the 30-year-old is that convinced by the Mourinho appointment to take a substantial pay cut.
This would be a great way to maximise any value left in Eriksen who is out of contract at the end of the season and sees Real as a dream destination.
On paper, this transfer makes complete sense, but swap deals like this seldom happen when there are two sets of agents getting their hands dirty.
And because it makes complete sense – that is why it is so easy to fabricate.
Probably a load of rubbish, unfortunately.
