The forward position appears to be one position on the Tottenham Hotspur squad that will get an upgrade this summer. The north London club will be looking to add scoring depth and replace the potentially outgoing Steven Bergwijn.
One name consistently linked to Spurs this summer is Everton striker Richarlison is at the center of a three-way battle between London clubs. According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old attracted the interest of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
Everton will not be willing to negotiate at a price less than £50-million, roughly what they paid to land Richarlison in 2018 from Watford. This past season, the Brazilian appeared in 33 fixtures scoring 11 goals and recording five assists.
Arsenal is coming off losing Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer to Olympique Lyonnais, and Chelsea parted ways with Romelu Lukaku sending him out on loan to Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Spurs could be looking to give manager Antonio Conte two quality strikers as he had during his time at Inter Milan, where he had Lukaku and Lautaro Martínez. It will be interesting to see if either of these three clubs puts forth an offer that satisfies Everton.

Well I just seen this headline on the boot room…..Done deal’: Fabrizio Romano claims ‘incredible’ talent wanted by Spurs will now join London rivals
Eactly, surely the ‘war chest’ freed up capital is to get NECESSARY purchases over the line before sales. This would be that – it isn’t like we need to flog a forward to make room, the kid Scarlett was warming his place in the squad! Sell Bergwijn after by all means but shouldn’t be ‘sell to buy’ at this stage – that’s the whole point of this ‘capital injection’…?
Pay £50 mill and sell Winks to them for £15 mill job done, he’s the best choice for adding a rotation option, he’s strong no nonsense, good at driving into the box ball at his feet, we need this. I’d then also shift Moura (as well as Stevie) and get another out and out up and coming forward too (the Blackburn. lad was mentioned, someone like that, don’t think the parrot is up to it).
That would give us all we need really considering other players could cover attacking spots (Perisic?) or dum dum dum…change the formation if we have a load of injuries (…Conte say no thanks)
my heart bleeds
Players make that work and there are 2 players available Richarlison and Jesus. I would not pay $20.00 for Rapahina. He cannot play as a single striker. Would I want to pay $50M for Richarlison. No, but he is ready to play and with CL he will see a lot of time. Kane needs the rest in a world cup year as well. So that additional $10m to $15m is more than worth it. I don’t care if has a bad attitude. No where do I hear he is a bad team mate. The boy is big strong and nasty. I want him in the box.
Such a lot of money for him or Raphina (who I was not aware of btw).
Not sure THFC will go for this as our big spend will be on Bastoni (poor guy settled at Inter but the club may force him to leave).
Despite Harry’s ambivalent video appraisal of Richarlison he is one of the few that fits the profile of ‘capable of rotating among front three, including as striker… and being to play at least half-decent in those positions’
