Tottenham Hotspur finds itself in the middle of the Richarlison rumor as the north London club attempts to bolster their attack this summer. As Spurs look to add scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, the 25-year-old would help fill this need.
However, Spurs do face competition should they seriously consider going after the Everton FC star forward this summer. According to the Brazilian website UOL, Chelsea is ready to rival Tottenham for Richarlison.
The Blues want to move on from Romelu Lukaku, who hasn’t lived up to the transfer fee they paid last summer. Also, with new owner Todd Boehly, they’ll be looking to make a splash with his first transfer window since buying the club from Roman Abramovich.
Richarlison appears to want out of Everton, where he helped them remain in the Premier League after The Toffees flirted with heading down to the Championship. Now it seems he’s ready for the next chapter in his career, which is to play UEFA Champions League football, which he’d get with Chelsea and Spurs.
I don’t actually believe this one bit – this lad is not a Chelsea type player. Suspect it’s Everton trying to push up the price and justify the ridiculous £60-70m number that is floating around!
