Pundit explains potential Spurs transfer issue that won’t go away with Conte appointment
By Mark Brus -

Simon Jordan is not convinced Tottenham will become that much more of an attractive transfer destination for top players even with Antonio Conte coming in as manager.

The Italian tactician took over from Nuno Espirito Santo this week, and there will be renewed optimism about what Spurs can achieve in the near future with such a proven top-level coach at the helm.

Still, it is bound to be a very different challenge for Conte trying to win silverware with this squad, in comparison to the world class players he had at his disposal during his stints with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Juventus.

Jordan, speaking on talkSPORT in the video below, feels Conte may still struggle to lure the kind of players he wants to Tottenham due to their history in comparison to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and co.

Spurs fans will have to hope that the combination of Conte and Fabio Paratici can help make the club competitive in the transfer market.

Nope. Nothing will change. Plus there is NO window of note for the best part of a year so it’s all MEANINGLESS. They scraped past Vitesse at home thanks to the ref sending half the oppositions team off.

And oh dear, Contes already talking about the facilities….

Of course

We would never sign those type of players anyway. It is more about attracting the level under those and he will be a big pull as long as the price is paid (& the wages),

Interesting he has paired Hojbjerg & Skipp tonight and no creative midfielder.

These clubs have always had the top players over us.. And Conte has never spent loads. His biggest signing was Lukaku at 70 or 80 mil.. He won the prem and Serie A with Victor Moses first choice at right back… Players will of course pick us over better teams if they want playing time. Ings left Liverpool for this. Young English players like Jude Bellingham and Sancho went abroad for this.. We also beat Barca to the signing of Romero last window… Jorden talks big of Levy sometimes like they’re close friends, other times patronising him, all while dissing Spurs and our history and players.. He talks twice the speed with his talksport waffle he has prepared, and then slows right down when he has to think and answer questions.. He’s a rude weirdo that rarely has balance to his opinions.

Jordan has a point. Most players will be happier being a bit part player of a winning team, then a starting star for Tottenham. It’s just where we are as a club now.
