Player Agent Confirms Spurs Exit Is Definitely On The Cards

By Joe Fish -

The agent of Juan Foyth has reiterated the defender’s interest in leaving Tottenham Hotspur on loan this month.

Foyth wants more game time, having only made three starts all season despite being a regular at international level.

“We are evaluating the possibility of going out in the January market. We wait for this week to find clarity with Tottenham,” Claudio Curti told the Argentine edition of AS about Foyth’s future.

Jose Mourinho told Sky Sports in December that there was “no chance” the 21-year-old would go elsewhere in this window.

But Foyth’s agent suggests this is something that Spurs are now considering, and there is some evidence that this may be the case.

The South American’s only Premier League start under Mourinho came in the 2-2 draw with Norwich City, in which he was hooked at half time following a mistake which led to the Norwich opener.

This was two weeks after the above statement from Mourinho.

He has not been included in a matchday squad since, with Jose preferring to using Eric Dier in defence and name Japhet Tanganga among his subs.

Davinson Sanchez has also been on the bench of late which creates another obstacle between Foyth and more minutes on the pitch.

A loan for Foyth looks more likely to be sanctioned now than it did a month ago, but with Kyle Walker-Peters expected to leave, as Sky Sports details, a right-back may need signing before he is allowed to go.
