Oooh… Spurs’ Midfield Transfer Target ‘Likes’ Twitter Post Linking Him With Move To Us|image

By Joe Fish -

Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has fuelled speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham with his social media activity.

The 24-year-old’s official Twitter account was seen to like a post from WhoScored.com suggesting that he’d be a good fit for our midfield.

The like was soon removed from the post but not before Football London snapped it:

Spurs were first linked to the Denmark international in January when Sky Sports identified him as one of our top targets for this summer window.

And that shouldn’t need to change despite the financial impact of Covid-19 as Hojbjerg is about to enter the final year of his contract at Southampton, according to transfermarkt.com, so might be available at a reduced price.

Hojbjerg has already told Danish outlet Sport1 that he is hungry to test himself at the next level and this is another indication that he’d be receptive to any interest we show in him when the market reopens.
