According to reports from Mundo Deportivo in Spain today, Tottenham may be offered a get out of jail free card by Barcelona for Tanguy Ndombele.
The French midfielder has not enjoyed the debut season many Spurs fans were expecting after his club-record arrival from Lyon. His distinct lack of fitness, rather than lack of ability, has been the primary concern and has seen him publicly criticized by Jose Mourinho on a couple of occasions.
Mundo Deportivo understands that Mourinho may get the opportunity to spare himself of the dilemmatic 23-year-old, as Barcelona are looking for a midfield ‘powerhouse’ and remain fans of Ndombele from his Lyon form.

(I’d question the lazy categorization of Ndombele as a ‘powerhouse’ and its racial undertones, but anyway, that is an argument for another day).
It isn’t clear yet whether Mourinho is ready to give up on the talented ball-player. These fans on Twitter, pleading for patience, certainly hope not…
Do everything in your power to keep him

We’ll deeply regret it if we sell this guy. Same people killing him will be the same ripping into Levy once Tanguy is lifting Champions League somewhere.

Lots of players aren’t good in their first season then turn into gems this is no different

Without injuries and fitness issues we would have been our best player from the games that he has been able to play we have seen his ability he is still 22 so much potential
Hope he stays
People are failing to realise we have one of the best young players in the world. Once he gets fully fit he will be a force to be reckoned with. He can change the game in an instant, even with how he is at the moment

if this happens… (I don’t think it will)

You can add Tanguy to the list with Salah & De Bruyne.

He’s a fraud. A lazy one at that …. get gone
Without question he has ability but it has only been shown in fleeting glimpses. He seems lazy, ambling around the pitch. I don’t recall him busting a gut to get on the end of things when we break or to get back and help out the defence/track a runner. How many 90 minutes has he completed since he has been at the club? No matter how difficult adjusting to life in England and the Premier League is there can be no excuse for not maintaining the required level of fitness. In my opinion if we can get anywhere near the money we paid for him then I would sell him in an instant.
