Mourinho comments have surely put to bed the rumours on player leaving

By Bruce Grove -

Tanguy Ndombele is one player whose future has been up in the air at Tottenham for much of this summer, but it seems that Spurs have made a final decision on his future.

The Frenchman joined Tottenham from Lyon last summer for around £55 million, a record fee as the Lilywhites looked to build on reaching the final of last year’s Champions League.

His first season in England was less than spectacular and he played less than 90 minutes in total for the club’s remaining nine games of that campaign.

His attitude and application have been at odds with Jose Mourinho’s expectations and he fell out with the Portuguese manager.

He was expected to leave the club this summer with several teams interested in signing him, Mourinho was also reportedly happy to cash in on him, but the manager’s latest comments offer hopes of a future at the club for him and should end all the transfer speculations now.

Mourinho said as quoted by TeamTalk: “He’s working very hard. I have to be honest and say he is working better than ever. Of course he finished the season injured with a very important injury.

“He came back after holidays and of course he was still injured, in spite of doing some work on the recovery process.

“He didn’t start the pre-season with us. When you saw him 45 minutes against Watford it was easy to understand and say he’s not in the best condition. But he trained only two days before that match.

“This week he did not go to the national team and trained every day. Is his condition better today than it was last week? Yes his condition is better. And he is working very, very hard.

“So the point now is – can he keep that commitment and desire? If he does it, he has incredible potential.”

Usmanov has bought in. He is sponsoring Goodison’s Park End. He has paid £50m to win the tender to name it. A sly way of injecting money in to the club and beating FFP. He will then pay more to name it. Good times ahead for the blue noses.

Theres french players at the club. French shops here. France is the closest country there is to us, people swim across the channel mate…… He hasn’t come from Argentina, Brazil or an ancient tribe from the amazon.. He’s paid how much? He can afford his own chopper to fly to france a day or two every week.. Regardless to how he feels or any personal problems, he is paid to do a job. If he can’t do it then goodbye good luck… No room for players who need carrying… Spend that wage on someone consistent. I would say sorry to the guy if he’s depressed, but its all about the football… Either class or not…. Allan and Rodriguez were great today… They only just got off the plane and I bet their english is poor……. Ndombelly is a sulker it seems and he’s eating yet again in that documentary.

Aye… Usmanov used to have 15 % shares with Farhad Moshiri at Arsenal but they pulled out because of their lack of ambition… Moshiri has already bought Everton some decent players. If Usmanov buys in too then everyones in trouble.

So what you’re saying is, Usmanov could put money equating to Lewis’ entire fortune into Everton and he still have about the same as Abramovich!!! Outrageous.

Can get depressing going places/being In places and you can’t understand what people are saying. Real talk man. Can’t join in. Feel left out. Isolated. Comfort eating made him put on weight I reckon. Plus. Head meds make you gain weight. I’m not saying he’s on head meds

Not speaking lingo is no excuse for not running or trying or getting fat…. Mascherano and Tevez came from Argentina which compared to France is a huge culture shock…. They were younger too…. Ballers for Spam from the off.

Sell him to fund Bale all day… If Ndom turns it around and turns it on week in and week out then fair play… But he has only managed 90 minutes in 11 months once…. And the cameos we saw were shocking… He has a lot to prove.. Bergwjn has been twice the player at a third of the price tag/wages.

Too slow to reply on other thread mate… Farhad Moshiri owns Everton in fact and he is worth 2.3 billion. This is under half of Lewis and Levys net worth.. Lewis is 4.7 billion odd and Levy was reported by forbes to hit over a billion….. Usmanov doesn’t own Everton. The Russian media were banging that one out ages ago but it was fake news. He isn’t worth 9 billion either, that guy is 15 billion. 👍

I’d rather have blind faith and be positive than be like you. No one knows what’s going on with ndom apart from himself and his people. I’d rather have blind faith than living off speculation. I’ll say it again. “Idiots they are

So no Tango – not sure if its the same injury or a new knock, hopefully not too bad…disappointed Le Celso is not ready either but again, hopefully he stays fit this season, especially as we don’t have much creativity in the middle..

There’s more evidence (including what HH has posted) pointing to the fact he has been billy big bollocks and cant be arsed…I tend to follow evidence, as where you, tend to follow “blind faith”….I was personally hoping all along he’d come good (so never suggested selling him myself at this stage) but I guess people had lost patience and if the money is reinvested then I appreciate that as an opinion. Avoid twitter at all cost, I’d agree with you then that most are idiots, just not on here..

Ever lived/worked somewhere and you can’t speak the lingo properly? Can remember when I was in Denmark living/working and at the beginning I couldn’t speak the lingo. Nightmare

He could be a really important player for us this season if he gets his act together, we really need a midfielder that can push the ball forward….

Reading between the lines, NdomNomNombelly is still a bit portly, but at least he had a very ‘important injury’. Not a wasted year afterall or the lad!
