Toby Alderweireld on the bench, neither Giovani Lo Celso nor Tanguy Ndombele in midfield and a four-man attack, there were a few surprises in Jose Mourinho’s lineup to face Manchester United this evening.
One name Tottenham fans have become used to seeing on the team-sheet is Lucas Moura, who has started more games than any other player since Jose’s arrival. There were suggestions that his place might come under threat from Steven Bergwijn, who came straight into the side following his January arrival to help deputise for Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, but not to see the Brazilian in the squad entirely was a big surprise.

Martin Tyler later added on Sky Sports commentary that it was a bang to the head, and considering the caution with which these injuries are treated nowadays, you’d think Lucas might be a doubt for West Ham on Tuesday.
But hopefully not beyond that…
A chance for Bergwijn and Erik Lamela to stake their claim, then…
