Lloris’ boyhood team joins the race for his signature

By Bruce Grove -

Nice has become the latest team to show an interest in Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman has been at Spurs for the last nine years and he has been one of the best goalkeepers in England.

However, he hasn’t won trophies as he would feel he deserves and could be set to leave the Lilywhites when the transfer window reopens.

He was angered by the team’s exit from the Europa League in the last round after their embarrassment in Zagreb and he could leave to try a new team.

He has been linked with a move to PSG where he would be reunited with Mauricio Pochettino, but The Telegraph says Nice wants him back too.

He started his career as a youngster with them before he moved to bigger teams like Lyon and Spurs.

Nice is now owned by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who wants to make them one of the top teams in France.

The report says they will make him their top signing if they can pull off the move.

He has one full season left on his current deal and Spurs might consider that he has served them well enough to let him go.

This would make a move away from the club easier for him, but his wages might be a problem for Nice.
