Levy’s Latest Transfer Fee Demand Surely Puts Paid To Tanguy Ndombele Rumour

By The Boy -

Little in the way of surprise here, but perhaps it’s a salutary reminder to those journalists toying with the idea of creating narratives that don’t genuinely exist in order to generate interest… Daniel Levy was never going to take a €10million hit on Tanguy Ndombele as per The Guardian‘s recent piece.

Simon Jones for The Daily Mail understands that Levy is planning to hold out for £23million in negotiations with AC Milan for Serge Aurier – precisely what Spurs paid for the Ivorian back in August 2017. If Levy expects to get ALL his money back on a gaffe prone player after 3 years, then there is zero chance our CEO is about to heavily discount a potential world-beater like Tanguy after approximately 1000 minutes.

Moving Serge Aurier on to Italy is a sound move, we made the case recently for Tanganga stepping into the right back spot, for which he is perfectly suited.

Levy only gives a f**k about Levy. He is the archetypal Scrooge of our day and has no real interest in helping this club to succeed, just feathering his and ENICs nest.

Opening offer obviously, but if Aurier goes that still leaves us with no specialist right fullbacks. Tanganga might offer cover but has very little experience. If we had a reliable right back we’d start to look better immediately. The fact Mourinho was thinking of using Sissoko, Skipp or Gedson as emergency backs tell you a lot.

Levy is a gold plated idiot, he needs to look in the mirror. Everyone hates him after the stunt he tried to pull with putting staff on furlough, even the few supporters he had left. Now we all want him gone because he has cost this club success with his insane wrangling over pennies. He’s like some demented Arab trader haggling over a goat in the local Kasbah.
We all hate you Levy begone already.

Levy said himself that the market would be different post COVID so why does he think he can recoup his original outlay, particularly as the player himself has proved to be a consistent liability. The problem is he can’t admit to buying yet another dud, even though he is a master negotiator and top scout.
Let’s just get what we can and move him on.

Levy wants as much as he can get for everyone he’s selling. I have no issue with that until the point when he loses out on a sale that we badly need. If we don’t sell Aurier now when there’s some interest, we might not be able to sell him at all. Who knows when another buyer will turn up? sure try and get as much as pot but don’t make them walk away.

We need a replacement for Aurier first surely. At least the man plays too… Ndombenchy hasn’t managed 90 minutes in 9 months! World class players play and perform consistently. World beaters like Van dijk play every single game… Tanguy couldn’t beat my grandmother.
