Tactical Shake-up On The Cards From Mourinho That Could Launch Tanganga Into The Big Time

By The Boy -

According to Fabrizio Romano, the proverbial Italian giants AC Milan have begun talks with Tottenham for right back Serge Aurier. The former Lens, Toulouse and Paris Saint-Germain, man signed for Spurs back in 2017 for a rumoured £23million – which with some understanding of Spurs’ transfer strategy – probably means Tottenham paid in the region of £19million and the rest was comprised add-ons.

Just how much would Aurier command on the open market these days? In all fairness, and despite some howlers during his brief spell at Spurs, one would expect Daniel Levy to get most of his money back.

What is fascinating about this particular possible exit, is that it would leave Spurs without a designated right back, unless Kyle Walker-Peters were to be recalled from Southampton, which seems somewhat of a leap at this stage.

Unless of course, Jose Mourinho’s secret weapon is Japhet Tanganga (heat map above)? Being a huge Japhet fan, this sounds like an immense step forward. It will – at long last – see the end of this wing-back nonsense that has plagued Tottenham since Kyle Walker scampered off to the Etihad.

Fingers crossed on this one!

Liverpool wasn’t on his debut.I think he made a crunching challenge in his own area to prevent a goal.

No doubting these players have pace. However very often they run up blind alleys, because they are not aware of what’s going on around them and their end product is non existent,or they will be relieved of the ball by the opposition.

The boy deserves his chance, not sure he become a regular yet, but time will tell.

Disagree in terms of pace. Moura, Bergwijn and Sonny have pace in abundance. We are quite lethal on the counter. Fully agree in terms of creativity. We have struggled to break down sides who sit deep for a long long time. Wish we had signed Fernandes instead of Gio last summer.

Levy and Mourinho was always an odd marriage.Levy hates to spend money and Jose has only ever bought players to win trophies. What could possibly go wrong?
Mourinho’s not a stupid man and must have known what he was getting into with Levy.Either he mistakenly thought he could manoeuvre Levy into his bidding or for 15M he decided to go along with the script and accept that eventually he will be sacked having been handsomely rewarded.
Whatever happens it will end in tears and it won’t be pretty.

I like it. As compared to whom Wayne Rooney when he instantly broke though the ranks at Everton at age 16 or 17?

I think they are following the Spurs model as they are also about to build a new stadium! Talk about following lemmings off a cliff.

The amount of monies Everton have wasted on 2 players the inconsistent ex Spurs Guilfi Siggurdson and £40m yes £40m for Iwobi who has been a disaster for the Toffees sharing a common trend with Spurs over poof transfers!

Neer seeing this one coming, Ake to Man City for £40m is either a bargain or a complete waste of monies!

IMO £75m will probably secure his services!

Intending to maximise funds for their prized asset, warding off potential suitors I believe Grealish price tag is valued at £90m?

Requiring a complete overhaul of the team, until we address a complete lack of pace and creativity in the side IMO Spurs are going no where fast!!

Levy’s dream is to find a team of 10 outfield utility players that can play anywhere, ideally all rejects from proper football clubs. Then fill up the bench with undersize kids from our underwhelming academy. He’d then spend every day swooning over a spreadsheet constantly calculating how much money he’d saved, before increasing season ticket prices to visit his events venue/shopping mall for the privilege of watching them in kits that get renewed every month.

Is this the same Romano that said we were def selling N’Dombele to Milan for £45m or doing a player cash swap, and it was all agreed? Pfff.

I would support Tanganga in the RB position.Wingback is a bit specialised and we don’t have the personnel for that system.
