Levy doesn’t want any player in exchange for Kane

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane has asked to leave Tottenham and there might be a club that eventually signs him.

The England captain is one of the world’s best goalscorers and he has continued to bang in the goals for Spurs.

He wants to win trophies and that is the reason he has asked to leave after Spurs fell short on many occasions.

Kane is set to cost more money than Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale did when they left Manchester United and Tottenham, respectively.

Spurs would ideally want to keep their top striker, but they will also not want to keep a player that insists on moving.

Sun Sports says Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell and would demand at least £150 million from any club that insists on signing the England striker.

Manchester City has been linked and they seem to be favourites to sign him considering that they have just lost Sergio Aguero.

Some reports have claimed that they will struggle to meet Tottenham’s asking price and they could offer Raheem Sterling or Gabriel Jesus in exchange.

However, the report says Levy has no interest in a player exchange and wants a cash-only deal.

This is because he knows his club would need to be rebuilt when Kane leaves and wants enough money to bring in the players that they would need.

The Chelsea owner wants success for his club and backs the manager in the market. It’s not too difficult really ,is it?Except for Levy and ENIC.

If the lad’s heart is elsewhere then just let him go and follow his dream. It’s not his fault that his club’s owners have created a club environment where it’s nigh on impossible to win trophies is it?

Tappa, I love your optimism, but he scored 0 goals from 11 apps on loan at Milwall, 2 goals from 18 apps at League One Ipswich. He’s got a long way to go!

Wasn’t Dos Santos a better player than Messi at one stage? It’s all about their mentality and the ability to push on and continually improve between 19 and 22. Not convinced on Troy yet. Hope he comes good.

Chelsea & City fans 25 years ago had no hopes whatsoever. Now look. We have to hope that ENIC sell up to decent rich owners

That’s wishful thinking if you think Levy will act with class and dignity!

I don’t want Kane to leave but however this turns out I do hope Levy acts with some class, dignity and gets the deal done quickly.

I know, I know… Harry signed a contract … yadda yadda yadda….

I don’t want Kane to stay under the current management structure. He’s been excellent for us for many years and I don’t blame him for wanting to make the most of his career. Harry has always acted honorably and with class, i wish him all the best.

We don’t have the squad to compete for anything next season, even with Kane. ENIC are now in the predicament that without coughing up for quality new additions, their business plan of the 4th spot gravy train as Harry highlighted, has gone.

The top 4, as they should, have been steadily investing and creating the gap that we saw last season between us and them. The gap has got so big, that even Leicester and West Ham are now between us and that top 4 spot.

In Enic’s eyes they are probably more like to be on the gravy train with Kane in the squad and are hoping Paratici can pull something out of his behind to sell the dross and buy on a budget to seal that 4th spot.

So, will they go with a roll of the dice on a manager with budget new additions including Kane, or sell Kane and hope a manager can work a miracle with the players that are brought in? I can’t see either option ending up with a top 4 finish any time soon without the investment they should have put into our club in the first place.

But what happens to Spurs when ENIC are no longer making the mega profits that 4th spot brings…..

Can anyone confirm that he’s actually asked to go or taken the cowards route & told the press before he’s told his employers? Levy will get one more season out of him & sell him this time next year & H will end up hating Levy. Shouldn’t have signed that contract for 25 million then, should you? If he or anyone else wants to go, get rid asap.

Let’s face it the only money coming in to rebuild is from Kane’s sale and offloading the deadwood.Neither ENIC or Levy have ever invested in the squad other than through player sales. The penury myth that HH brilliantly exploded on his last daily briefing has constantly been wheeled out by Levy whilst he and ENIC bleed the club dry for their own personal gain. It was stated that two of Contes demands were to keep Kane and have a budget of £100 million. The statement for the club stated that to spend a £100 million would jeopardise the financial status of the club. Utter tosh. If this club cannot afford a budget which would probably only buy two decent players of quality then it is already f**ked. If they offloaded a few of the dead woods it would probably be closer to £50 million. I believe Chelsea who won the CL are looking to bid for Haaland at around £179 million. They are on a similar financial footing to us according to Deloittes but are run as a top club who realise that winning is the only metric. We are a faux football club with zero ambition other than to rip off supporters with some of the highest ticket prices around and who lie and deceive at every opportunity. The contrast between THFC and any top performing club is so vast that is has now become farcical. ENIC and Levy have not an ounce of credibility anymore. The jig is well and truly up in my opinion.

As far as is known Harry has not yet asked for a transfer officially.

Player exchanges are very hard to do because most players don’t like having no choice in which club they move to.
