Former Tottenham striker, Mido, has slammed Daniel Levy as the Spurs supremo searches for a new manager.
Spurs are in the market for a new boss after sacking Jose Mourinho in April.
They have been in talks with a number of candidates including former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.
Talks with the Italian, who is a strong character, appear to have broken down and Spurs will now look to their other targets.
Levy will want to get his man in place before the new season starts, but Mido has faulted his approach to naming a new boss.
The Egyptian accused Levy of not wanting to name a manager that would be demanding.
He even speculates that Tottenham fired Mauricio Pochettino because the Argentinean had become demanding.
He also rants that the new Tottenham Stadium only benefits the owners as it brings more money to them, but fans only care about seeing the best players wear their club’s shirts.
He tweeted: “#tottenham fans should know better.. Daniel Levy will never bring any manger in who wants full control of the football decisions will never bring in a demanding manager!! That’s why he sacked Poch when he started to ask for more players when he started to compare his team to city
“Building a new stadium is great for the owners it allows them to make more money but it means nothing to the fans! Fans want to see their team signing the best players and the best managers around #spurs need at least 4 top players all around and a top manager #COYS”
Why were the results poor and the football sh*t though. Levy
Mido is spot on, all the decisions Levy has made, i.e the new stadium and the new training facilities all benefit the owners not the fans, all these things make the club worth more money come time to sell at the same time spend as little as possible on the squad as it’s just throwing money away in their eyes. ENIC, Levy and Lewis OUT!!
I think he’ll find Poch was sacked due to poor results & shit football which was not going to improve. But he’s correct with the control thing.
