Leipzig Fans Litter Spurs Stadium With Toilet Paper In Dirty Protest [Video]

Tottenham’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig tonight was briefly paused when away fans threw toilet paper onto the pitch.

Hugo Lloris and Davinson Sanchez were among the Spurs players to help with the clean up after the dirty protest at the start of the second half.

The Leipzig fans in question were making a statement about the costs of football, unrolling a banner which read: “Stand Up For A Fair Price Cap” from the section where the protest originated, which was met by applause.

It is a good fight to fight, but I do see some irony about it being started by a team who’ve only existed for 10 years and are built on Red Bull money.
