Jurgen Klopp landed a perhaps inadvertent punch on Jose Mourinho ahead of Liverpool’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow.
Asked who of the two was the better player (between the coaches) at his press conference, Klopp admitted – or feigned – he wasn’t even sure what position Mourinho played.

Klopp enjoyed a remarkably mediocre career as a full-back in the German second tier, but he’s practically Roberto Carlos compared to Mourinho.
The Portuguese made fewer than 100 appearances across four clubs before making the right call to hang up his boots early. Mourinho’s done pretty well since. José was a midfielder, by the way.
