“Jurgen Klopp would have been very rattled by Tottenham” Podcaster reckons Klopp is afraid of Spurs title challenge

By Bruce Grove -

Chris Cowlin says that Tottenham will have sent a message to Jurgen Klopp that they are firmly in the title race now despite their 2-1 loss at Anfield.

The Lilywhites have been one of the best teams in England this season but Liverpool beat them in their last league game.

However, it was a game that they should have won as they created the best chances.

Cowlin was speaking on the latest edition of the Last Word On Spurs podcast and he said that Tottenham gave Liverpool a good game and backed up Mourinho’s claim that the best team lost the match.

He said that Spurs went to Anfield with a game plan and although they lost the match, they will have sent a message to Klopp that they are serious about winning the Premier League.

He said: “Jurgen Klopp has seen Tottenham come to Anfield, we’ve given them a very, very good game.

“Jose Mourinho says to him instantly after the final whistle, ‘the best team lost.’

“I completely agree. I think the best team did lose, and Tottenham should have picked up the three points.

“Jose Mourinho went to Anfield with a game plan.

“Jurgen Klopp would have been very rattled by Tottenham, and he would seriously be thinking that Tottenham are serious title contenders.”

That was only Tottenham’s second league loss of the season, and they will look to bounce back when they face Leicester City on Sunday.

Agreed. Despite their injuries they seem to have a golden nugget in Curtis Jones.

The bottom line is they are the reigning champions, now 3 points clear of us and they beat us with their 3 top centre-backs missing, so why would Klopp be rattled? If we had beaten them it would be a different story, but we didn’t.

Klopp rattled?. Utter baloney. Really??
Small margins. We came, saw and failed the test!!
Liverpool lead the table by 3 pts extended to 6pts if they beat Palace away lunchtime. Ok there are chinks in their armoury but likely still good enough to comfortably retain the title. Having suffered respective defeats yes both sides will look to quickly bounce back on Sunday!

I am afraid it is not about creating the best chances, it is taking them that counts.
