He was rewarded for keeping the attacker quiet, as Mourinho gifted him a £500 Iberico ham after the game, according to report in Spain via Mail Online.
The Portuguese manager took to Instagram after the match to post an image of himself, and Reguilon alongside the giant piece of meat and the manager captioned the post: “A promise is a promise. It costed me £500 but I keep my promises” he then tagged the Spaniard.
Reguilon only joined Spurs from Real Madrid this summer after he helped Sevilla to win the Europa League last season.
He has been in fine form for Spurs, and his performance against City might see him keep Ben Davies on the bench for a long time.
