Forgive the Danny Rose spam today, but the left-back spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live last night and, as usual when he speaks, there was plenty to digest.

Plenty of what he has said in recent times would have been to the distaste of Tottenham fans, but on this occasion the 29-year-old hit a note that many of us will be able to appreciate. “I miss the old White Hart Lane,” he said.
Rose was not merely sentimental about the stadium we’ve left behind, highlighting the importance our record there had on our peak years under Mauricio Pochettino – we went unbeaten at home in the league in 2016-17.

A lot has been said about players, transfer and managers and what is to blame for our decline, albeit not a disastrous one, over the last 18 months. But the factor of the stadium move is often forgotten. Since leaving WHL we have lost 10 home league games out of 50, compared to 5 in the previous 50.
It is a stunning arena but one that might take time to feel truly like home.

If DR was a family pet you’d have him put out of his misery
Bang on Danny. We gave lost our soul with the move. I hanker for the good old days at WHL. The Park Lane and Shelf Side in full voice. The atmosphere is so flat at THS despite all the guff we were fed sbout working with accoustical engineers to retain and magnify the noise. If the crowd dont sing there is no noise. For me we are now attracting the wrong supporters. Plastic fans. It started at Wembley and has continued at THS – it is the new library.
Ignites fond memories of playing sex swagger football under Arry Redknapp with Parker sitting and Modric prompting, probing and weaving his magic!!
That would help. However, I believe we have the makings of a quality side once the crocked liabilities and the old boys have been pensioned off.
Giving Parrot 20 minutes in each game wouldn’t do any harm either.
Yes, Parker was good player and he’s doing great at Fulham.
Could bring Mitrovic with him!!
Simply need a quality side to match our splendid stadium – ouch!
I see one ex Spurs player who has adapted well to management is Fulhams articulate softly spoken steely tigerish Scotty Parker whom I wished had played for Spurs in his prime and possible tipped as a future Spurs manager.
He doesn’t play for us now and very likely will never play for us again. He should focus on Newcastle United, not THFC!
Having adapted to Wembley we should have no problems adapting to the new stadium. There’s no going back.
