“He’s had a tough couple of months” No surprise that Henderson comes out in support of Kane

By Bruce Grove -

Jordan Henderson has praised Harry Kane after he returned to goal-scoring form for the England national team last night.

Kane scored a decent hat-trick as the Three Lions beat Albania 5-0 with all the goals coming in the first half.

The striker had been in poor form for club and country before last night and had faced serious criticism.

However, Henderson maintains that Kane’s quality was never in doubt and they could see how good he is in training every day.

“I think you can see how good he is as a player over the years,” vice-captain Henderson said as quoted by The Independent

“His goal record speaks for itself, really.

“In training his finishing is outstanding. You give him half a chance, you know he’s going to take it and that was the case today.

“He’s clinical in front of goal and deserved his hat-trick, so I’m delighted for him.

“Probably he’s had a tough couple of months, so (I’m) delighted for him to get a hat-trick and I’m hoping that’ll give him a bit of confidence now.”

The Boy Hotspur Says

We all know that Kane is quality but it is his attitude that stinks and that is why many Spurs fans have turned against him but it really is no surprise that his teammates will show support for him, in public at least.

That said, Spurs will hope the England captain takes his form back from the international break and helps Antonio Conte get his first league win next weekend.

The striker struggled to replicate his goal-scoring form from last season under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Conte did well as the manager of Romelu Lukaku last season and the Belgian helped with the goals that secured Inter Milan the Serie A title.

Spurs can still make this season a success and Conte will look to get the team back inside the top four before this campaign finishes.

He also has the chance to win trophies as the club is still in the Europa Conference League and the Carabao Cup.

I can sympathise with him having the hump about the Nuno appointment, he wasn’t the only one.

If he’s not in double figures by the new year though, we have a problem.

Kane does as he’s told, unfortunately for Nuno he threw his toys out of his pram and had no respect for Nuno and that continued. At least he sort of tried for Mason.
