He’s Giggling Again: José’s Reaction to viral video of Spurs’ star is priceless

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho made light of a video which showed summer signing Tanguy Ndombele…let’s say, struggling to keep pace.

The below footage from Sunday’s defeat to Wolves sees the French midfielder, whose conditioning has been a concern in his debut Premier League season, being left behind by Petro Neto on several occasions.

Ndombele had only been on the pitch 15 minutes at this point, but when asked about the clip at his press conference, Mourinho chose a distraction tactic rather than to put the player’s fitness under the spotlight again.

This was a bullet expertly dodged by Mourinho, who has already dug out Ndombele publicly a couple of times. He shouldn’t make a habit of it when, realistically, it is going to take a whole pre-season to see big improvements.

He should be fit by now surely. It takes some a couple weeks and others 3 to 4 weeks.. We are starting to see now why noone else wanted him….. Bruno fernandes would have been much better.

Getting a poor relation like spurs into the CL, shutting out oligarch clubs and doing it playing exciting football, that’s as much success as any spurs fan can realistically demand under enic. Poch went one further, putting us in the title conversation for the first time in the colour era and making the final of the competition most coveted by all the oligarchs. Wthout being given any new players for 18 months.

Everybody within the pro game and 99.9$ of spurs fans understand that is success by any reasonable measure.

Don’t be afraid to praise yourself. I don’t care what arry and poch the losers think. Just like they don’t care what I think.

Massive self-praise, but I doubt poch or redknapp would rate what you wrote about them.

As a parent/grandparent? Dunno. I think I’m doing a great job. As a fan? They’d probably rate me too as I don’t let the suits get in the way of supporting my club. Sickness and in health. I’ll be there later getting behind them.

Lucky Jose such a good man manager…? I mean his win % is in the toilet and feels no need to expand the squad. Ndombele was starting to look like a top purchase under Poch… Who was a real man manager that got blood out of stones for 5yrs until levy lied to him one too many times. Jose will never come good for us.
