From Fulham to Barcelona will Daniel Levy or Jose Mourinho even consider youngster transfer?

By Bruce Grove -

Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho have a decision to make on the future of young Spurs’ star Ryan Sessegnon after Fulham achieved promotion back to the Premier League.

After confirming their top-flight status with a 2-1 win over Brentford in the Championship Playoff Finals, they have now turned their attention to their summer transfer targets.

The Telegraph claims that they have added a loan move for their former star, Sessegnon, to their plans ahead of the new season.

The young Englishman started his career at Fulham and he helped them get promoted to the Premier League for the 2018/2019 season.

They were relegated from the top flight immediately, and he made the step up by joining Tottenham.

He has struggled to break into the Spurs’ first-team so far and going out on-loan might just be what his development needs.

However, a loan move to Fulham isn’t the only transfer on the cards at the moment with the report claiming that Barcelona is also considering a move for him.

The Catalans are preparing for the new season like most top European sides, and they believe that Sessegnon is a star of the future that will be useful to them.

That is quite an extreme, Fulham or Barcelona and the fact that such a huge club as Barcelona is interested in Sessegnon does show how highly thought of he is and you have to wonder if Daniel Levy or even Jose Mourinho would sanction his sale/loan.

I personally do not think they will do and I just cannot see either of them wanting to see the squad weakened much more when you consider the players that are likely to be sold, especially in the defence.

TBF we could have used the Jack Clarke transfer fee to pay for Dybala’s image rights. This was a definite Levy f*ck up!

Such a waste of talent. I’d play him over Davies every day of the week, and also perfect back up for Son. Mourhinho says he has a future and compares him to Ashley Cole, so why isn’t he getting game time?.. especially when Davies is absolute pants. If we don’t give him a chance then its another amazing talent wasted

Waste of money along with Clarke. That’s what £35m? We could have bought a much needed back up striker and given the bindippers a run for their money in the CL final instead of sending out Kane on crutches.

He joined us with a very bad hamstring injury picked up on England U23 duty. The manager who signed him then left. Add to that the fact Maureen doesn’t seem to fancy him, what chance did he have last season? I would rather keep Sess and loan out Maureen!

Sess struggled here, so how the hell can he cope with the Barca set up ?
Whatever he does it’s a big season for him coming up.
