“Banter club” “Siri, look up out of touch” Mixed fan reaction to Spurs Official’s latest announcement

By The Boy -

Failing to read the room is the modern phrase for this. Think of David Brent’s announcement to his office staff, where he tells them the bad news – that many of them will be made redundant, followed by supposed good news – that he himself is going to be promoted. Naturally his promotion falls flat on the shocked staff, and he adds, ‘you’re still thinking about the bad news, aren’t you?’

Never one to shy away from the mood in the camp, ENIC this morning proudly announced that the Guns n’ Roses gig that was cancelled has been provisionally rescheduled for next year.

The wisdom of this announcement is questionable at best. Right now in the UK, few people are using public transport, even pubs and barbershops are struggling to get people through their doors. Quite what would prompt anyone to rush to buy tickets to be in a crowd of tens of thousands of strangers is beyond me.

The reactions were mixed, but generally sour. Here’s the pick of the pack.

goodness me I remember the days when we were a football club and used to regularly win trophies after buying quality players. How hard can it really be?

I had a ticket for the original gig earlier this summer but won’t be looking to use it for this one. It’s hard to see how this gig can go ahead. I’m going to need a good nights sleep before pursuing a refund from the good people at Ticker Master. Something tells me it aint going to be easy.
