Fabrizio Romano makes interesting Daniel Levy claim amid the Harry Kane transfer saga

By Mehdi Gokal -

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to make any potential deal for Harry Kane extremely challenging.

This comes after Bayern Munich’s initial £60m bid for the Spurs striker was swiftly turned down by the club, as Tottenham is said to be holding out for a £100m transfer fee.

Romano shared his insights on his YouTube channel, stating that Levy is determined to keep Kane at the club and envisions him as a key player for the upcoming season and beyond.

He said:

“From what I understand, and I always said even when he was linked with Real Madrid, Daniel Levy – Tottenham chairman – is going to make this deal very difficult. He wants to keep the player. The club still dreams of Harry Kane as Tottenham player for the next season and for the future.”

“They don’t want to give up on the story for Harry Kane also because they feel that the player will be open to make this move happen.

So Harry Kane is not saying no to Bayern and this is why they sent an official bid and this is why they want to insist but it’s also crucial to understand Tottenham’s position in this story. They don’t want to make it happen .”

However, reports indicate that Kane himself is open to the idea of joining Bayern Munich, with reports that the player has already agreed to personal terms with the German club.

Consequently, Bayern are expected to return with an improved offer in their pursuit of Kane.

Tottenham’s stance is understandable, given that they would struggle to find a suitable replacement for their prized asset, who consistently scores over 30 goals per season.

However, it remains to be seen whether Levy will once again force Kane to stay, as he did when blocking the player’s desired move to Manchester City two years ago.

If Levy does not permit Kane to leave during the current transfer window, the striker would be free to join any other club on a free transfer next summer.

Another potential complication could arise if Kane decides to submit a transfer request which would strain the relationship between the player, the club and the fans.

The outcome of this transfer saga is uncertain, and it remains to be seen whether a bid closer to Tottenham’s valuation could change Levy’s stance.
