End of the road at Tottenham for mouthy £65k per week waste of space

By Bruce Grove -

This summer is Danny Rose’s final one as a Tottenham player reckons Sun Sports as the Englishman has been frozen out of the Tottenham first team by Jose Mourinho.

He had an explosive chat with the Portuguese manager in January when he complained that he was being overlooked in favour of his other teammates that he wrongly felt were not playing better than him.

He was sent out on loan to Newcastle in that transfer window and the Geordies didn’t make his loan move permanent.

He is back at Spurs and he has just a season left on his current £65k per week deal with the club but doesn’t feature in Mourinho’s plans.

The report claims that he has been training on his own recently as he returns from a minor injury.

The left-back also wants out of the club and he will prefer to make a move abroad instead of remaining in the Premier League.

AC Milan had been interested in signing him in the January transfer window but the Italians have moved on now.

Cagliari has recently been linked with a move for him, but it remains unclear if they will be able to match or exceed his current wage (TeamTalk).

On a personal note, the quicker he goes the better, he is a waste of space with a big mouth that adds nothing to the team other than being a disruptive influence.

Anyone who admires Rose knows a lot about the whining of a petulant child. totally negative malcontent. I hope he finds a place somewhere else. If no one takes him and we’re obliged to pay out his contract; loan him to Prescott with half his wages paid.

I’m with Willie, if you know what I mean. Good luck Danny wherever you go, if you go.

When we went unbeaten at home he was immense. The only one to turn up at the CL final too.

He scored that amazing goal against Arsenal many years ago now, became a legend overnight because of it and became a regular starter for club and sometimes country. Yeah he shot his mouth off as did Kyle Walker, the best wing backs in the league at the time.
Shame it all turned sour but let’s say thanks Danny another nearly man at a nearly club.

A bit disrespectful of the club here. I wish Danny all the best with his new club and I hope it goes well for him. Was a fantastic player on his day but his personal belief didn’t match that of other clubs. We have all made a wrong call in life, but it is a man that admits this.
Has acted badly since being called out.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and write that stuff in a book when you leave than talk to the Press about our club still currently paying him £65,000 per week in wages. He was a good player he’s past it now and went down big time in my estimation.

“he is a waste of space with a big mouth that adds nothing to the team other than being a disruptive influence”

Nonsense. He’s given more to this club than you ever have or will. He was 100% correct in calling out these parasites Levy and ENIC, the lack of ambition, the buying third rate french league trash. He’s a fighter, and he absolutely was better than Davies by a country mile when fit. Never had any question that he would give his all on the pitch.

I’ll always like Danny, for standing up and speaking the truth. One of the men in the game I respect the most, tbh. “Article” such as it is, sounds like the whining of a petulant child.

Have to disagree here. Regardless of what we think of his Baldness, he gave Rose a contract in good faith and Rose has demonstrated anything but in the last year or so, mouthing off to the press and generally being a royal pain in the ass. Like any employer, he owes Spurs to carry out his part of the agreement, something that he hasn’t done due to his own actions.

Mental problems are very serious and I have some sympathy with that, but when he steps over the line and mouths off about his treatment and all the other crap he has come out with recently, then he needs to be gone and quick.

Don’t disagree that he’s a bad egg but I hope he sees out his contract just because that is what Daniel Levy deemed worthy to give him. He owes Spurs nothing but he is owed the last part of his contract.

That’ll teach Levy for giving it ‘they didnt have to sign’.
