“Don’t want to hear anything from him again” Safe to say these fans are Jose out

By Bruce Grove -

Not been the best week so far for Tottenham and he could get worse yet.

Losing to Arsenal is bad enough but to then go and blow a two-goal lead to a team whose manager is in jail is something rather special and not in a good way.

You have to think that Aston Villa is licking their lips right now ahead of facing this Tottenham team.

Last night against Dinamo Zagreb was a shocking result, absolutely shocking and you just knew that condemnation for the owner, manager and players would flood in.

Taking a very unscientific survey of all the noise on social media today it is noticeable that the calls for Mourinho to go have grown significantly.

The players have been getting a lot of abuse and criticism and of course, Daniel Levy has been given a good portion of the stick but it is safe to say that it is the Portuguese that is the one receiving the lions share of the blame for last night’s abysmal showing.

Tottenham posted a tweet of Mourinho apologising for the result and here is a sample of some of the responses.

Interesting looking at the profile pics of those tweets. Most seem to be millennials which kinda sums up football today. Most of their football comes from a computer game. Few of them have actually ever played and those that have, none of them at any level.

I’ve been away for some time following my other team Leeds tbh. Although unlikely to reach Spurs level for quite some time, at least that club is well run and for the fans, and the management crave success. The same cannot be said about Spurs which under Levy and enic has become a joke club. Our owners don’t give a monkey’s whether we win stuff or not. The only thing that concerns the little bald timewaster and his comatose boss is selling as many tickets and as much merchandise as possible on the back of a football club that is a failure as a football club.
Fortunately for them Spurs is riddled with gullible fanboys who really believe that the club has some ambition and appear unable to take on board the truth. But finally I think even some of those are starting to wake up and smell the coffee.
No manager will ever succeed under enic. It is physically impossible because of the smothering and penny-pinching control of the little devil incarnate. It’s not Mourinho’s fault any more than it was Poch’s, AVG’s, Rednapps or Jol’s fault. These are all top class managers that had they been properly supported would have bought us a steady stream of trophies.
That’s why I need to follow another club as well, for my own sanity, because this roundabout of failure is never going to end regardless of which poor so and so is given the job. Depressing in the extreme.

Exactly. There us something fundamentally wrong with the players at our club. If the most successful manager of his generation can’t get them to understand when to attack or park the bus, no-one can. Get some shit kickers in who are prepared to roll up their sleeves & make an effort. Give the armband to an outfield player would be a start.

It’s was never going to end well, not that he’s going yet but….I maintained when he came in it was an Amazon showpiece appointment and his winning has come from managing top class financially dominant teams. Even so, any manager will fail under Levy. Another miserable chapter, a predictable one. The season Levy took over the team finished 7th. 20 years and 1 League cup later the team is 8th and looking like they will be dropping further with so much work to be done to the squad. Real estate and facilities are just distractions. It’s been regression, not progression.
That situation last night is the kind of thing that should occur in CL matches against the likes of Madrid or Munich. A solid 2 goal cushion but the quality overwhelms in the return leg.

Not Zagreb in the Europa.

The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand is pointed to as the reason WW1 begun however astute individuals know that imperial competition was the main factor.

My point being is that jose, poch, redknapp, Boas, ramos etc etc plus an army of players were all at one point blamed for why were achieve the square root of F all. Over 20yrs there is one constant: the English National Investment Company
