Tottenham lost 2-0 to Leicester City this afternoon, making it two straight losses in the Premier League and no wins since they beat Arsenal 2-0.
Jose Mourinho has seen his tactics repelled for the second game running and his players have paid for inviting pressure unto themselves while hoping to counter-attack their opponents.
Jamie Vardy opened the scoring for the Foxes and Toby Alderweireld, who had defended Tottenham’s style of play before the match, scored an own goal to help Brendan Rodgers’ side get another away win in the Premier League.
After the game, Mourinho was interviewed, and he candidly said that it was a result of the team being unlucky combined with their own irresponsibility on the pitch.
The interview was posted on Tottenham’s Twitter account, and fans took to the comment section to vent their frustration at the manager.
It is safe to say that they are not a happy bunch and the signs are there of growing discontent.
discard your instagram posts just focus on your tactics, now I wonder who is a real special one? ah? Leicester also very tired not just us, but Rodgers won this game he did it, U got 25trophys I just want to say , u are old fashioned now the lads have no fuk energy

Kidding yourself! It’s worrying you think we were unlucky, more like a very poor 2nd best in every area of the game. It will keep happening and won’t change! A full stadium will not put up with these tactics and players every week.

Modern day George Graham unfortunately. Has been successful and isn't a bad manager but his approach is about 10 years past it's sell by date. We'll compete for top 4 and if we make it, I don't see that as a success when you have to endure such dull football along the way.

Jose your completely deluded. Not sure what game you were watching but we were woeful from 1st min to 94th min. Too negative and were at home and only us can go from 1st to 5th in 4 days. Now that’s Spursey

This was on Chrome.
There ought to be a ‘remember me’ or some such button?
Hi Harry . I have to go through a ritual every session . I use my Phone , and my computer , obviously not at the same time .
Jose needs to change it up or he’ll be without a job in the summer. He’s better get top 4 or Levy will pull the trigger, yet again…
It’s been all week, not just today. That’s the problem.
I felt his post match antics after the Liverpool game were slightly childish and dare I say rather unedifying. “The best team lost”, no Jose they didn’t…
Are you able to log in AL?
We’re having to approve all your comments!
It took 5 minutes to forecast what was in store to be honest. As one of the boys said, it resembled the Everton game. We do Not have a great squad. MOURA, WINKS, SISSOKO, DIER, LAMELA are just 5 of our below average employees and if Jose persists with them it’s his and only his fault.
We lost via 2 self inflicted wounds. None the less, how you can have kane, Son, Lucas, Bale on the pitch, all at the same time, and not score a single goa or even mount a threat l? Worst performance I’ve seen from Spurs regardless of manager for a long long time. Playing these tactics against teams such as Liverpool, City and Chelsea is reasonable enough. Its tactics. Playing this way against every single team (including Palace!) shows a one dimensional approach. Naivety? No, Jose is as experienced a manager as anyone in football. Single minded? Uncreative? Ineffective? Yes. Absolutely guilty. Such a poor day.
Not an anti Jose post BTW, I’m glad we have him. Hope for a more creative approach in future games though.
exactly my words
Mourinho’s comments can’t be taken seriously, he’s not going to attack the players in public.
As far as I can see this started against Palace trying to sit on a one nil for seventy minutes instead of demolishing them like Liverpool. What’s the point of having two of the best attackers in world football and they end up as passengers.
I expect Mourinho to sort this quickly and get a better blend between attack and defence, time that other teams started to fear us.
.
They were better than us TODAY, no doubt. We’ll take it on the chin and move on.
I thought the same when i was watching the post match interview – wtf are you talking about?! There was nothing positive and nothing unlucky. The team lacks attacking confidence, feels like they already forgot how to turn it on…
This interview sounded even worse than Pochettino’s classic phrase “i am happy” after we bottled a match.
And I am a big fan of Jose
Merry Christmas…just need Stoke to give us a poke to complete the Christmas cheer
