Dele Alli Ban Update Ahead Of Premier League Restart

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Tottenham expect to learn of Dele Alli’s fate for the Premier League restart later this week.

The 24-year-old midfielder faces a possible suspension following an FA charge of discrimination and bringing the game into disrepute. He posted an unwise but ultimately harmless video joking about the Coronavirus at the expense of an Asian man who was none the wiser to the immaturity.

Dele was charged by the FA in February, but the old bats in charge of the game clearly don’t know how to work a Zoom account as three months later his appeal hasn’t been heard. It is farcical adminstration and as such puts Jose Mourinho’s preparation for the resumption of the season in jeopardy as Dele could yet miss June 19th’s return match against Manchester United.

According to the London Evening Standard, the independent three-person commission to decide Dele’s fate will meet Wednesday or Thursday. Apparently they are just waiting for one of them to download Zoom so that he can get they can get the first conference free with unlimited minutes.

This should have been sorted out yonks ago. Disgraceful.
