Last week David Ornstein of the Atheltic revealed that Tottenham secured a £170 million loan from the Government via their Covid Corporate Financing Facility and it really has triggered opposing fans.
They ignore the fact that the club runs a self-sustaining model, has never relied on Billionaire Joe Lewis to fund massive transfer fees and is fully eligible to receive the loan.
Some lazy responses have focused on Lewis without acknowledging that he does not milk the club dry like some other owners do and has invested in the club’s infrastructure and the local community.
The Bank of England has today revealed that Tottenham Hotspur has received £175m in government loans.

Spurs are owned by billionaire Joe Lewis, who lives in the tax-haven of the Bahamas.
Reverse Socialism: Tottenham Hotspur, the north London football club, received £175m of UK govt money despite being owned by a billionaire tax exile, Joe Lewis, who lives in the Bahamas.https://t.co/WoBCAWAH91

But it is the whining and clear jealousy being shown by fans from other teams that I have had a good laugh at. Some of their responses have had me in stitches. Why they cry at Spurs securing their financial future and not their own club not taking up the same opportunity I do not know but it has certainly got them very hot under the collar.

All this outrage from these sad individuals venting their anger on social media is just hilarious and the more they meltdown the more pathetic they sound.
I am not the greatest fan of Daniel Levy but the fact that he has so many fans from other clubs foaming at the mouth has seen him go up in my estimation, not by much, but enough to make my week.

I don’t buy into this getting involved in other team’s business only interested in Spurs but I don’t disagree with the morons from other clubs.
Am I in some sort of twilight zone ?
ENIC specifically Lewis could’ve loaned the club the money on an interest free loan.
Where do you get the idea ENIC ( Lewis & Levy) aren’t taking money out of the club ? Their whole MO is money.
Lewis would be astonished if he heard someone outside his employ was leaping to defend him.
You’d think the club doesn’t have to pay it back and pay interest on the the loan to listen to the critics.
Can’t Lewis even loan us the money on an interest free loan? typical Lewis and Levy, they need to go.
