Are cracks starting to appear in the Tottenham dressing room?

By Bruce Grove -

Serge Aurier supposedly stormed out of the Tottenham stadium after an angry exchange between the Tottenham players at half time yesterday.

Spurs had made a good start to the game and kept Liverpool out for much of the first half.

However, a defensive mistake just before the halftime whistle saw Sadio Mane set up the opener for the Reds.

The goal was scored by Roberto Firmino, but several Tottenham players were guilty of letting them create and score.

At the interval, Mail Sport says that there was an angry exchange of words between the Tottenham players, and after being subbed off before the teams returned, Aurier stormed out of the stadium.

The Ivorian has shown some fine form in this campaign, but like most of his teammates, he struggled to cope with Liverpool’s attack yesterday as the Reds exploited their every weakness.

In the absence of Aurier, Spurs conceded two more goals to complete a day to forget for their defenders.

It should be noted, however, that the Mail article goes with the usual “sources” and despite the headlines, they actually cover more about Kane’s injury than this supposed bust-up.

And even if this is true, who cares really? It shows passion and it did Son and Lloris no harm when they had their infamous clash.

Truth be told, the defence was shambolic and Lloris was poor, there is enough blame to go around without any individual being specifically targeted for recriminations.

Nothing was wrong with using the team that ream won the last match. Winks is all we got and we cutting off our nose to spite our face. Pair Winks PEH and Tanguy as the creatie mid. Not sure what Jose os trying to prove. Winks is fit enough to play 3 games on the trot. He could have easily gone 70 minutes. We have more success with Winks in fnd starting lineup. I do not want to hear what he does not have, what he does is good enough for the team until we get someone in the door

Would sacking the manager rid us of the Dier problem at CB? Probably the only way to find out if if we did. Normally in agreement with you H but you can’t defend this anymore or are you telling me Doherty is a better left winger than Bale? Moanio should do one

100%, Rodon communicated well ,I found that most impressive. Got those Wolverine sideburns.

Those players were leathered a few weeks back, even Sourness got a few digs in. Fluid forward line, well Klopp has a major hand in that.

I would like just one reporter, commentator or interviewer to ask Mourinho why Toby has been left on the bench for the last few PL games. His absence was difficult to understand last nightin particular.
Surely it can’t be lack of effort on the training pitch. It’s something that definitely needs clarifying by Jose as i think most fans would like to know.

Agree, last season they were phenomenal. Already drew to Brighton, Fulham, West Brom, Newcastle and lost to Burnley. Huge gulf last season, this season no.

No corners were cut mate. I’ll tell you what Mrs levy is narf fussy. Worked ripped out coz of her. Polyfiller” some of the decorators on the project were always vex with the plasterers coz of the glassy shinny finish they leave. Decorators hate that coz their rollers slide🌚.

Disagree. Having won the PL title by a distance last season. going through a mini trough, deprived of some key players Liverpool are an excellent team exposing a huge gulf in class last night!

One person stands but dier they all were even though that one person has failed many times this year. I guess this is what happens when you replace a quality ageing player or don’t and leave it. The manager must explain why Toby was on the bench however played in the fa cup. I would have thought it should have been the other way round or is he telling us were we are and what we can expect to have a chance in this year. Can we win something this year well it won’t be the league and looking at it we might struggle for top six or seven and our gipsy neighbours are right behind us now.

Players should be upset and embarrassed. Losing 3-1 to a bang average Liverpool side with no momentum, struggling to score goals.
