Antonio Conte states there’s no rift between him and chairman Daniel Levy

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has made the rounds by speaking to the media about the issues regarding the north London club. The Italian tactician talked about the rebuild Spurs needs to go under to compete for trophies.

However, Conte spoke to the media at his press conference, where he made it known there’s no rift between him and chairman Daniel Levy and went after those who are looking to drive a wedge between him and the club chief.

“I think I was very, very clear. I don’t understand why someone wants to try to create a problem between me…and also in the past,” Conte said, per CBS Sports

“I read a lot of stories in the past about this club, creating a lot of problems between the coach, the chairman, and the club. The chairman knows very well my thoughts. It’s not important for me to go to the media. If I have to tell him something he knows very well that I go and speak to him.”

Conte wants to fight for trophies and win the Premier League, which he’s done with during his time with Chelsea. Furthermore, the Italian tactician won Serie A with Juventus and Inter Milan, so he understands what needs to be done to win.

The 52-year-old isn’t shy of making demands and won’t stick around if the club doesn’t look to invest to meet his ambition.

Conte left Inter Milan once they decided to cut back on their investment, so if Spurs don’t lift their standards to Conte’s, it will be interesting to see what occurs in the summer.
