Mauricio Pochettino believes that it is still possible for Tottenham Hotspur to rescue a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
Spurs could be 10 points adrift of the Champions League qualifying pace when they kick off against Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

The early months of the campaign have indicated there will be plenty of ups and downs as Pochettino attempts to transition from one generation of players to the next while maintaining our competitiveness in the league.
The Argentine sees parallels with his first season in charge, when we finished sixth, ominously, but is not giving up on the top four this rebuild around as time remain on our side this season.

Pochettino is quoted by Eurosport as saying: “We went back to five years ago where we were like this in terms of position, situations and stuff like that, so it takes time
“We cannot move the club forward quick, we cannot accelerate the time – that’s the problem. It’s a natural process. We only need to stay calm and work hard because there is not another way to change this dynamic. It’s different to five years ago but with a lot of similarities.
“When you assess all the circumstances, it’s normal to be in the position we are. We’ll see [about the top four]. Today, it’s so early. If we are capable of finding the right balance to start performing in the way we expect, it’s still possible.”
Leicester City’s emergence as a genuine force has made our recovery difficult as we can no longer rely on simply being less bad than Manchester United and Arsenal.
If we are to make up the ground, we need to go on a winning run, and that needs to start against the Blades today.

He’ll be gone in the summer. I got a feeling Utd didn’t go all out for a centre forward last window cos they fancy Harry this summer.

Imagine being Harry Kane hearing that we are starting again…30 before you are back trying to win silver ware.

Bar the full backs I am liking the line up.
I like how the narrative has changed and now it’s like we are starting again, why the stadium then? It was supposed to represent competing and winning, which of course was bull. Now we are back to square one where jam isn’t so much tommorow as in another 5 years. The perpetual project that never bares fruit. Wake up Yids.
Watching stuff on Edward Norton’s adaptation of Motherless Brooklyn, the subject matter is akin to what’s happening in London especially with the Lewis project in Haringey.
