This is the best we have seen of Giovani Lo Celso so far.
Picking the ball up on the half-turn – (how refreshing to have a midfielder who can do that?) the Argentine shows great strength and control to carry the ball forty yards and take four Southampton players out of the game.
Via Erik Lamela, the ball is shifted on to Son Heung-min who buries his shot past Angus Gunn into the bottom corner to give us a 1-0 lead at St Mary’s.

The goal was checked for offside against Son first, and then for a foul by Dele Alli on Kevin Danso – the coming together on the edge of the box – but Lo Celso’s brilliance was not to fall victim to either VAR review.

Anyone that still sees Jose as a signing of intent, a serial winner, just need to look at our players attitudes. We are simply not better under Jose than we were under Poch. Players attitudes still sucks, our basic simple play is still poor, positioning is possibly worse and wrapped up in a worse more boring playing style.
Aurier having his best game for Spurs and then ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
We are officially hopeless… 😩
GLC has been brilliant today. What the hell is Aurier doing there. I just knew we wouldn’t hold out
GLC looks a great prospect! Buy Levy!!
