3 Ligue 1 Players That Could Well Turn Daniel Levy’s Head This Summer [opinion]

Here are three Ligue 1 players whose contracts expire in 2021 who could be good options for both Jose Mourinho and Levy.

Memphis Depay

A familiar name to Tottenham fans, we were linked with the Dutchman before his disastrous spell at Manchester United, and also more recently by CalcioMercato, now that his spell at Lyon has made him hot property again.

The 26-year-old seems to have matured, enough to be made one of Lyon’s captains and has added an extra string to his bow with the ability to play upfront which makes him more attractive to help support Harry Kane. He’s been injured this season too so his value is already on the way down.

Ibrahaim Sangare

A true holding player is missing to give Spurs balance in midfield and the 22-year-old is from the N’Golo Kante and Wilfried Ndidi, two very successful French imports, school of putting protection before offence.

Sangare has been catching the eye in an average Toulouse side, and has developed a decent passing and dribbling range to go along with his obvious physical attributes, standing at 6ft3 (ca. 2 m). He could be the perfect fit.

Wylan Cyprien

Cyprien would be another option to knit everything together alongside Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele or both in the centre of the park.

The Nice star has spent some time as an anchorman but is a more complete midfielder than Sangare, with seven goals and three assists in 20 games this season, so he could be freed of his shackles if either of the above were injured.
