25-year-old Tottenham star tipped to join a top-eight club

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Winks has been tipped to leave Tottenham this summer for a top-eight Premier League club.

The England international was a favourite of Mauricio Pochettino, but he lost his place in the Tottenham team last season under Jose Mourinho.

He is facing competition from the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for a place in the starting XI.

These players are still at the club and could be picked to play ahead of him again under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Football London reported earlier that Santo is still coy on if Winks would be given the chances he desires to play for Tottenham next season.

Paul Robinson has now suggested that he would leave the club and play for another top eight side in the Premier League.

He insists that the midfielder is too good not to play and to be in a similar situation as he was last season is simply unacceptable.

Robinson told Football Insider: “Harry Winks needs to play.

“He did not play anywhere near enough last year.

“I’m a big fans of his, I rate him really highly. I think he could get into almost every top six side in the Premier League because he is superb both defensively and offensively. People don’t realise how good the offensive side of his game is because he often plays in a deep-lying role.

“If a top-eight side came knocking I would not be surprised if he took the chance to move on.

“When you consider his age and the fact he was a regular in the England side before last season he will want to play regular football. I think this might be the summer when he moves.”

Winks , Dier and The Finger Magician are just a Negative Vibe. Sissoko is beyond parody.

Winks, Dier, Sissoko and Dele have to realise they need to move on and find another club.

Lets hope just for once Levy is sensible about the selling price of Winks, £15m tops.

Paul Robinson really does speak some guff. I’d love to have him do a play by play of some of the games winks was a passenger in

I like my midfielders to weigh in with some goals or at the very least plenty of assists.

Harry does neither. I really rated him under Poch but like Dele, Dier, Sanchez he’s gone backwards (literally) at an alarming rate.

Maybe Eriksen leaving has exposed some of these guys.

Haha, this is Winks we’re talking about here? At first I thought this was parody but then I realised it’s serious. Everton can have him, clearly they need another MF.

Happy with that, he needs to play regular and move on. Hopefully come September 1 the squad will look completely different.

Just hope the bulk of transfers are done within the next couple of weeks
