Ange Postecoglou has given an update on Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer position as the end of the January transfer window comes into view.
Clubs have until February 3rd to complete their winter business. So far, it’s been a slow window for Spurs, who have only signed goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky — while Yang Min-hyeok also completed a move agreed in the summer.
The Lilywhites need reinforcements arguably more than any other Premier League club right now, with a chronic injury crisis meaning they’ve been consistently dealing with double-figure levels of absences.
Among the key players most regularly out of action this season have been Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario.
As a result, Spurs have suffered wretched form this season and currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, just eight points clear of the relegation zone following their 3-2 defeat to Everton on Sunday.
That hasn’t stopped Spurs being linked with some big names, with the most recent reports mentioning Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic — who has scored 12 goals across all competitions this season — and Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.
Ange Postecoglou addresses Spurs transfer status

Reporters once again quizzed Postecoglou about possible incoming transfers in his pre-Hoffenheim press conference.
While the Australian admitted ‘nothing is imminent’, he did seem optimistic that the club can bring in some new faces before the window closes.
“Yeah, potentially,” said Postecoglou (via Football.London), adding: “The club is working hard to try to get some help for the players, but as far as I know, there’s nothing imminent. But things happen quickly in the last week of the window so still hopeful.”
Following Thursday’s Europa League clash with Hoffenheim, Spurs host struggling Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday — a match that may be more important at the bottom of the table than first anticipated.
