Were Poch To Be Hired Again ‘Too Soon’ His Spurs Compo Would Reflect That…

By Joe Fish -

Mauricio Pochettino could be back in work as early as January with Sky Sports reporting he is a top candidate for the Bayern Munich vacancy.

The Argentine’s five-and-a-half years with Tottenham Hotspur came to an emotional end this week when he was sacked in favour of Jose Mourinho.

The report does mention the caveat that, should he take a new job within three to six months, Pochettino would give up the rights to some of his £12.5m compensation which is to be paid to him in a series of instalments.

But so impressive was most of the job he had done in taking Spurs from Champions League wannabes to Champions League regulars and then to finalists in the same competition, Poch was always going to land on his feet.

Bayern are on the lookout for a new manager following the sacking of Niko Kovac earlier this month and have the 47-year-old high on their shortlist, according to Sky Sports, although they are yet to reach out to him,

Hansi Flick has been appointed as interim boss and Sky Sports understands that he will remain in that role until at least the New Year, meaning that Spurs can’t come up against Pochettino’s Bayern in Germany next month.

Sky Sports adds that Poch is also on Real Madrid’s radar for 2020. The cynic in me would prefer him to end up at Bayern as a reunion in Spain could be too tempting for Harry Kane if we aren’t in the Champions League.

Clearly, as one League Cup in 20 years demonstrates.

Levy is stone cold loser…

Maureen has already said in his presser that; “I would not be surprised if Mauricio went to another English club tomorrow”.

Maybe not until the summer but Poch will be managing Utd next season.

Tappa I know he’s gone and I don’t have a problem with that.It just seems a shabby end to a period in the club’s history when he achieved more than most against the odds.I don’t disagree it was probably time to go,it’s just Levy’s continuous meanness.I don’t agree that the players will see any of the money saved.
I’m looking forward to this lunchtime and the Mourinho/Pellegrini sideshow.

Poch said he would never coach Real or Woolwich out of respect to Espanyol And Spurs unlike Aunty Maureen.

Standard business practice for talent, it’s called a non-compete clause.

Bayern looks like the right club for him. Likely winners in their division from the off; less pressure than the manure job. I wouldn’t stay in the Prem if I were him, not now. Manure are too much of a mess, too much to do and very high expectations, and the circus of matches against Maureen at his old club.

I’d be very surprised if he stayed in this country. Impressed, but surprised.

Maureen to hold the fort until Levy gets Rogers or someone else in a year or two?

Please sell ENIC, everyone knows you don’t have the balls to take Spurs to the next level.

Levy hates it when a manager gets his feet too far under the door. Levy is a megalomaniac, Maureen will only be there three seasons max, no matter what he wins. Once a manager can go to him and try and demand stuff for doing well, he sacks them. Every time…

Poch will go to Manure, 100% all day long.

Thanks Levy…

That caveat mentioned above shows just what Levy is all about. He wants the power to dispense with somebody’s services, but at the same time prevent him from finding an immediate return to management in which case he has to jeopardise his severance pay.what an ar$$$ole.
