Bravo Jose: Mourinho Makes Sincere Tribute To Poch (video)

By The Boy -

There’s a significant element of the THFC fan base that are still hesitant about the new gaffer.

On top of this, there are still fans clearly struggling to come to terms with the failure/collapse of the Mauricio Pochettino era.

For me, Jose’s opening remarks are an extremely considered and classy move from the Portuguese. Spurs will always be Poch’s home, and Poch is welcome back any time.

At the risk of labouring the word, what makes this so enjoyable is the complete authenticity.

But, but, but …this is Jose Mourinho. You cannot trust him!

But …Jose delivered.

I am not buying the poor Pooch line. He was earning £8 million a year and got a £12 million pay off.He won nothing and for the past season and a half we have played some of the worst football in the EPL. He announced that if he had won the CL Final he would have left the club. He spoke off being brave but took an enhanced deal and then became very “ appy”.He was complicit with Levy. He like all involved was concerned about number one. He probably wanted to create a situation in which he got paid off and he leaves still with the reputation that he is a great coach who never won anything because of the owners not backing him. The next appointment however he will be judged on what he wins and that will be the acid test.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Rose plays his best ever under Maureen and stays a few years.

Yeah. I think I am more likely to vote labour and move my family into the shed so homeless people can live in my house… But let’s see.

True but just think that Gassiniga is more imposing and commanding in the area.

Most of this team won’t be here long under Jose and for when the glory begins. Jose knew he’d have a lovely rebuild to do and levy will have no choice but to spend. Gwarn Jose😁

The irony of the situation is that on those rare occasions when Ben Davies slotted in at centre half he looked more comfortable in that position than full back!

Perhaps Luke Shaw himself deserved it. Probably for harsh words from Jose there were good reasons. What has Shaw achieved since then?

Jose is not so ruthless by nature, it is just a natural reaction to external pressure in difficult periods.

Whilst genuine warmth and humility does not come natural to ruthless Jose, Poch commanded genuine respect by all his peers. My immediate impressions of Jose’s press conference is that having reflected on his time out of the game he looks refreshed, re-energised, revitalised and ready to go!!

Mourinho once again confirms that he is a decent person, and now we just need such a coach. Everyone who hates Mourinho today will replace their nicknames in half a year and will be here to tell us how from the first day Mourinho in Tottenham believed in him.
Maybe you should support Mourinho today, do not put off until tomorrow? Is it really so hard to understand that all the haters of the Portuguese will eventually be put to shame? If you are strong in spirit and believe Tottenham, so support our team. If you love Pochettino so much, then go with him to Madrid or Paris. We do not need you.
