“We are still in the fight” a happy Jose Mourinho delivers for the fans against Arsenal (Video)

By Bruce Grove -

The smile on Jose Mourinho face said it all, he was a very happy and relieved man after his Tottenham team slapped Arsenal and registered a 2-1 win over Banter FC.

It was a typical Mourinho performance from Tottenham and on this occasion, it worked.

The win takes Spurs two points above Arsenal in the Premier League standings and still in the hunt for a Europa League spot, especially if Man City ban is upheld tomorrow.

I must say that when Mourinho gives his post match interviews I find it hard to disagree with his comments.

Could be at the end of this season. There is no money for transfers so we have to sell first. Eighth richest club in the world, and we behave like Poundland.

Only thing Mourinho can use it to give the younger plays game time because it looks like that’s the way the team is going.

I think at the end of next season, Harry, Sonny and Dele will be gone.

He’s just turned twenty eight and even Mourinho is talking about it will take 3-5 years to rebuild this team into Champions. When he takes a good look at the calibre of player around him and he knows Harry Kane will be off either this summer or next I think he’s not going to stay. He wears his heart on his sleeve and he can’t hide his feelings. Sad, but he’ll have no trouble finding an elite club.

I agree.Son is not a happy bunny and that means things must be pretty sh*te behind the scenes to affect him in that way. I guess it’s that draining feeling you get knowing you are flushing your career down the drain for Levy and ENIC.

I’m not sure the players would look forward to EL next season.Frankly I would rather miss Europe all together and concentrate on fixing the team and finding a style of play we can all enjoy.

There was a sense of palpable relief coursing through my veins after the game, but I didn’t feel euphoric in the slightest, but give some credit to the players for carrying out Mourinho’s dour tactics. Without going through the team’s performance which can be done by better judges than me, I think it is the first time I have seen Son score a goal without his trademark smile. He does not appear to be a happy bunny to me.
On another observation, Arsenal players had the irritating BLM logo on their shirt sleeves like all the other teams, (I wonder how long this nonsense is going to last?), but they also had Visit Rwanda on the other sleeve. I can’t figure out the correlation.
