‘We all know what a world-class player he is’ Tottenham fringe player backed to return to form

Chris Coleman has backed Gareth Bale to shine for Tottenham despite his slow start in his second spell at Spurs.

The Real Madrid loanee has been nowhere near the level of performance expected from him when he signed for the Lilywhites in the summer.

He was expected to help the club challenge for the league title and other trophies, but he has hardly made an impact on the team.

Jose Mourinho has been forced to leave him on the bench in some games, and there have been talks of him enjoying sitting out matches.

But Coleman thinks that is not true and says the attacker wants to be involved more than we think.

He claims that Bale might be struggling mentally, and that is stopping him from getting up to speed.

He admits that the attacker looks like he has just returned from injury every time he steps on the field, but he still has something to contribute at Tottenham.

‘He’s been out for a long time and he’s finding it hard to get back in and get his rhythm,’ Coleman said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

‘We all know what a world-class player he is. He can win a game, he can score a goal from nothing, he’s got a last pass.

‘But when I’m watching him now it looks like he’s always on his first game back after an injury. Obviously, we expected him to be in the flow of it by now but he clearly isn’t.

‘He’s only 31 so I wouldn’t write him off. I don’t know what’s happened at Tottenham but knowing Gareth, he’s a very serious boy about his football and he loves playing football.

‘I’ve heard comments that maybe he’ll be happy to be on the bench. He won’t be happy on the bench – not the Gareth Bale that I know.

‘He will very much want to be in the heart of it and if he’s not quite there yet, he’s either not ready physically or maybe mentally there’s a lack of confidence.’

That original comment got altered?? Unreal. It doesn’t even work grammatically that way. We truly are wandering into the realms of madness.

Yes, ‘person of colour’ is the excepted term, rather than ‘coloured person’. Imagine being so offensive as to mix them up?!
What a f$\%*&g circus.
Political agenda driven divisive nonsense.

They signed a deal to loan him until the end of the season. A deals a deal, unless there is a clause where Madrid can call him back if they need him.. Unlikely.

The term ‘coloured’ is offensive. It is among the most offensive words you can use to describe a black person in the US.. In the UK it is ‘old fashioned’ at best.. My great gran used that word, but she lived for over 100 years!

It’s not bales Fault – that we offered a olive branch or more to the point a way out.

at Madrid he was physically broke with the confirmation of no game time or future under Zidane .

Enter Spurs – Back into the fold of a club that loves him , we/he invested time in fitness and conditioning. This is his new/current /Broke( you choose) level we are seeing .

he looks happy/content , deep down he probably knows he is spent and mentally just waiting for the next injury/tweak but at a club that cares.

What a career , but a massive shame it has come to this – such a long time injured with no game time.

Back to Madrid in the summer to see out his final year of boredom before retirement

on the upside he is still on £500k a week.

Superbowl lowest ratings since 1969…..NBA lowest ratings too, all cos of the woke nonsense and cos people are realizing it’s not genuine. It’s happening with Films and TV too, they are driving people away from life as we know it. Only in this deranged climate could you have a superbowl with 75% coloured players, all multi millionaires, with a [people of colour] performer doing the halftime show but open proceeding with the black national anthem cos USA is racist. All deliberate.

Unfortunately I prefer to look at the whole picture including the other participants in this tale of woe, instead of pointing fingers at one individual and deflecting the responsibilities of others . I’m not prepared to join in with this character assassination of probably the finest player to wear the club’s shirt. There are issues and all those who created this mess including Gareth Bale need to find a solution, whatever that is, but I believe the man’s intentions are still honourable with regard to his return to the club.

Let him know that hell never play for the mighty Wales again if he doesn't pull his finger out of his a... for Spurs, maybe thatll do the trick.

If Bale was an honourable person he would be honest with us and himself and say, look lads this deal obviously isn’t working I’ll go back to Madrid and let them worry about the money haemoraging out of the club.He could well afford to buy out the rest of the loan.Naive perhaps, but let’s put an end to this charade.

The Mourinho exchange with press was interesting….they said it’s first time since 2012 they’ve had 3 straight defeats….Jose said, “how long since won a title? Journo replyed1961…”maybe I can give one”…Jose said…
