Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to undergo his medical this week at Tottenham and finally, put pen to paper.
Most fans are probably keen to know how long his contract is and what his price was. The contract length will soon be known but the price may not.
The media have had a good go at sticking a valuation on the Dane but it seems they are no wiser than the rest of us.
The Independent has gone with this headline Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg undergoes Tottenham medical ahead of £15m move from Southampton
The Mail is going with this headline Jose Mourinho closes in on his first summer signing as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg undergoes medical ahead of £20m Tottenham move
TeamTalk’s headline is, of course, totally different, £19m man checks into Hotspur Way for Tottenham medical
There are more, though in all fairness the majority do plump for the £15m mark but not all.
So, we have £15m, £19m, £20m which tells me none of them has a clue and they are all guessing.
Why they do not go with something like £15m-£20m Holjbjerg taking medical I do not know, surely they must know that most of us look at multiple headlines from a wide variety of sources.
All we really know right now is that the 25-year-old is taking his medical at some point this week. Or do we?
Every time I hear the word ‘medical’, I wince…. Willian has signed for the gooners now too..
Not bothered one bit I am more concerned with getting Ndumps massive wages off the payroll especially after what Andros said last week. I wouldn’t normally believe it but I’m sure the figures came from a reliable source/site.
£15m plus a possible £4m in add on’s miles away from the £35m they were demanding, and if we get £12m plus add on’s for Kwp it’s a steal.
not sure – I think Levy wants to keep it secret so people cant comment how a “team competing” would think a £15m player would improve their starting 11.
My take on this is that Levy would only commit to the purchase if Southampton stay silent on the financial details. That way nobody knows he got screwed over.Call me a cynical old git.
🤣
Hope it’s not a Nevada boxing licence medical, they hold a mirror up to your mouth and if the mirror mists over you pass.
Well, it seems that they all agree that he is having a medical on Monday – although is that this Monday, next Monday or the Monday before the transfer window closes?
To be fair, they have gone out on a limb by specifying a day. There are 7 days in a week to choose from, although Saturday and Sunday are less likely, so perhaps it’s a 1 in 5 chance of getting the day right.
I think I read that he’s getting a signing on fee. What a world.
