Video: Valencia supporters chant for Tottenham loanee Bryan Gil to stay

By Eddie Razo -

Bryan Gil’s time with Tottenham Hotspur didn’t go as planned. The north London club envisioned the Spain international being a significant part of their squad heading into the 2021-22 season. Nonetheless, after a few months, the 21-year-old left on loan to Valencia.

Gil has impressed in his loan stint thus far with the Spanish club, and now Valencia supporters are doing their part to make sure the winger can stay permanently past June when the deal expires.

Valencia fans expressed their love for Gil, chanting for him to remain with the club permanently.

It is in our best interest that Gill ndombele and lo celso have best time during their loan periods, this will develop a possibility of getting decent money for permanent transfer, ( lets hope Barcelona can come up with decent bid for gill, in around 40-45 million )

Question is that will levy spend the money from the sales and additional transfer budget to completely re shape the squad, lets face it, what is the point of bringing these three back when conte isn’t interested in playing them, we can surely get about 100 million for these three, plus additional 50 million from the pocket of joe Lewis, we can spend upto 150 million in summer and that should be enough to bring 4-5 top quality players we desperately need.

Once again question is will levy spend the additional money or like an old man habit he will only spend what he is getting from outgoings and present another profitable transfer window to his Real GOD Mr Lewis.

Time and time again penny pinching and habit of having profitable transfer window has cost us massively.

The war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis kinda outweighs the need for isolation given they need to get out of the country asap. You don’t treat these people like lepers, they’ve already had enough seeing their friends and family being killed and their country in the process of being pummeled into dust.

Noticeable how all the multi nationality refugees from Ukraine being offered places to stay in neighbouring countries with no mention of covid restrictions etc., like it never existed, thank god !

I’ve made this point before. We have done the same with loads of players like Blondel, N’Jie and Nkoudou. I don’t suggest for one moment that had these players been given more time they’d have proved to be good, but I don’t see how bringing them across here where we have no proper reserve league and then sitting them on the bench and giving them the odd 5 or 10 minutes here and there (usually with us playing poorly and losing) helps anybody. No one is going to develop as a player or acclimatise to the Premier League by playing knockabouts at the training ground and sitting on the bench week in week out.

Sorry Che as much as you would like him to sign you cant afford him.
Yet another waste of money.
Is there a pot for “most money wasted on compensation/ill fiting players/golf courses”?

I think Gil is happy that’s why he’s playing well. He’s back in his own country near his family.

Seems that there is an atmosphere at Spurs that gets players down especially young players down.

Very few prosper for all the wonderful facilities. The owners of any business set the tone and define the culture and atmosphere at work, happy or not.

Exactly, the few minutes he was given I thought this guy has potential , he showed skill that we desperately need in midfield, as far as I know this guy was never given a full game.

Yes, quite! But we could all be covered in nuclear fall out soon if Putin goes on attacking nuclear stations. Helps to put things in perspective perhaps, Eastie, though I agree following Spurs under ENIC is never ending frustration and disappointment for us.

SPURS = FAILIURE

The hallmark stamped on us from 23 years of Levy and ENIC.

Meanwhile the dross, like Royal, play regularly. There is no logic at the club. We move on young talent but keep hold of and continue to play rubbish players. Royal and Sanchez being examples.

The difference here is, he’s getting regular football. Like the majority of our signings being consigned to the bench for weeks on end and playing the odd 25 minutes isn’t conducive with finding any form and building an on pitch relationship with your fellow players.

Why would he want to come back to this sh*t show our club has become? The only players that fancy it at our place are wage thieves because they know they’ll win nothing so all we get are players that don’t really care that much either way.

Dysfunction FC.
