Video: “Harry Kane is not for sale” – Sky Sports journalist provides an update on Tottenham striker’s saga

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane released a statement regarding where he stands with the London-based club. The 28-year-old plans to report to training.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol provided some insight into what’s next for this Kane saga, who hoped to depart this summer for Manchester City to compete in the UEFA Champions League.

Solhekol explains that although City would like to land Kane; however, the rival Premier League side simply isn’t offering enough to motivate Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sell Kane.

“Tottenham’s position has not changed, Harry Kane is not for sale,” Solhekol said. “He has three years left on his contract. If you want to sign the England captain, it’s a free world you can make an offer but your offer has to be realistic.”

“As far as Spurs are concern the kind of figures that Manchester City have been talking about I’ve been told it’s £75-million plus some players. Spurs are just not interested in that; they are not interested in £75-million. They are not interested in players as part of the deal either.”

Whatever happens this will be his final year at Spurs. Next season will be the last he fetches decent money with two years left on his contract. You might get £80 million.

With a year left and being 30 years old and with whatever physical condition you’d be lucky to get £50 million for him.

A statement from Kane v a claim from enic fc. I know which I believe based on the last 10 years of Kane being the model professional against enic fc lies.

What a mess again…with fans being back and frustrated, this could be a difficult year at our new ground for any player that doesn’t do well…if Kane stays he better hit the ground running….as for Winks…

Chelsea’s offer also included a load of cast-offs.

A deal to consider would be to include a condition they also take Winks, Dele, Dier and Sancho. …!!

Feels a lot like Harry has come to the realisation that he’s going to have to stay. Yesterday’s statement sounds like backtracking in an attempt to get the fans back on side, if it was as genuine as he wants it to sound then what took 5 days to post it?

Whether its factually true is irrelevant, he and his team have clearly decided that the media storm was in their interests to stoke for a few days.

Fair enough, he played his card and it failed, cant blame him for that. Levy has called his bluff on his willingness to tarnish his reputation.

Can’t wait to see what the next episode has in store!

Bet there’s loads of £150 mill gentlemen’s agreements

kane needs a new agent more than he needs a new club

Face facts Harry your “Gentleman’s agreement” with Levy isn’t worth the paper it isn’t written on.

City just paid 100M for Grealish yet they make derisory offer of 75 m plus some non entity players. They are not even serious about Kane but just taking a punt on the cheap.Get lost or stump up the asking price.Levy should report them for tapping up.They will buy their way out of trouble again but at least its on the record. They actually make Chelsea look a class outfit. From a club that did not have a door on the toilet to a club that buys what they want. All done with Arab oil money. What a credit to hard work and enterprise.. .not!.

Totally correct but city lowballing is a joke also DOF is bringing in the players to our squad which he wants why should we take city’s castoffs

If the Sky Sports report is true, regarding City’s derisory £75 million offer, taking into account also the very overt and obviously illegal courting of Kane by Guardiola in his recent press conference, then Abu Dhabi FC (aka City) can f*ck off!

Either they come up with £150 million cash, or else ‘take a hike’. Given Kane’s age, injury history, current and impending workload and evident desire to leave I would unequivocally accept £150 mill if I was Levy and use those funds to further rebuild the team.
